The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Penguin uses the large umbrella on his penguin line to slide across to Dawn's penthouse terrace, as he says, "Who says penguins can't fly," we can see the glistening of the crew's wire at the top of the pulley wheel, as it moves. (00:13:45)

Super Grover

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Penguin uses the large umbrella to slide across the Penguin line, at the top of the umbrella there's a pulley wheel, but when he reaches Dawn's penthouse terrace there's only a small loop at the top of the large umbrella. The same thing happens when Swoop follows Penguin on another large umbrella. (00:13:40)

Super Grover

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When the Penguin orders his hook to be fired, it barely moves, then suddenly takes off. If you look closely at the hook before it moves, the connecting wire used to pull it out of frame can be seen. (00:13:30)

Movie Nut

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Robin deals with the Penguin henchman in the elevator, then suddenly jumps on the counter, watches Batman conk heads (in a real fake way) and starts laughing like a slightly demented person. In all that, the guy in the elevator was still standing and looking like he was waiting for his cue. He is just suddenly KO with no explanation in the full view of the room a moment later. Marsha, Queen of Diamonds (1) - S2-E23

Continuity mistake: After Batman has been hit by Marsha's love dart, when Robin pulls the dart out and then begs Batman to resist it, in these semi closeups note Burt Ward's uncovered forearm with his still-healing burn wound. Then, while the Dynamic Duo fight Marsha's sabre wielding goons, Marsha hits Robin with another one of her darts and orders him to attack Batman. When this happens, Burt Ward's forearm now has a compression bandage around the wound. (00:13:55)

Batman trivia picture

Trivia: The 1966 T.V. Batmobile was created from a decade-old "concept show car" designed and built in 1955 by Ford's Lincoln Division. It was called the Lincoln Futura, and was originally a pearlescent pale green. After several years on the car show rounds (and an appearance in one movie, repainted red), it was sold for $1 to George Barris who stored it outdoors for 6 years. When FOX called looking for Barris to build a car for the show, they gave him 3 weeks, so he grabbed this already-weird looking car he had out back, sketched a few changes and passed the physical work to Bill Cushenberry. It was finished on time and the rest is history.

Answer: It's wasn't unusual for multiple actors to play one character on this show. The villains on the TV Batman were played by guest stars, not regular cast members. George Sanders, Otto Preminger, and Eli Wallach played the part at various times. They may simply have only wanted to play the part once or twice, or they were later tied up with other projects, making it necessary to cast someone else. Other characters, like Catwoman, were also played by more than one actress.
