The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Other mistake: Penguin is able to follow from his office the unconscious Bruce Wayne on the conveyor belt. Considering the angle and how it keeps perfect close-ups of the moving target, it would mean he has a security camera in the back of his shop that is pointed on the conveyor belt and is mounted on a dolly (and he is not doing anything to control it). Definitely wins him Evil Overlord points. (00:02:40)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Penguin uses the large umbrella to slide across the Penguin line, at the top of the umbrella there's a pulley wheel, but when he reaches Dawn's penthouse terrace there's only a small loop at the top of the large umbrella. The same thing happens when Swoop follows Penguin on another large umbrella. (00:13:40)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Penguin uses the large umbrella on his penguin line to slide across to Dawn's penthouse terrace, as he says, "Who says penguins can't fly," we can see the glistening of the crew's wire at the top of the pulley wheel, as it moves. (00:13:45)

Super Grover

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Visible crew/equipment: When Penguin is riding the large umbrella across the Penguin line in the wide shot, just as he is about to reach Dawn's terrace, we can see a crew member's two arms reaching out to Penguin and the top of a ladder, at the lower left side of the screen. (00:13:50)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Plot hole: Penguin's magnet attracts with amazing force Batman and Robin's utility belts, to the point of pulling them in from the other side of the room; it's however ludicrous to think that no other metal object would be in the apartment and fly at a magnet with that sort of power. (00:14:30)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When the Penguin goes to Wayne Manor to put Batman and Robin to sleep with the gas from his umbrella, just before he shoots the orange gas at Robin's suit of armor, there's a quick shot of the armor's helmet. The problem is that there's already an orange stain on the face of the helmet from the orange gas that comes out of the tip of the umbrella, even before Penguin shoots any gas. (00:19:15)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Other mistake: Penguin says that his sleeping gas' effect lasts 18 hours, but Bruce in his shop woke after mere minutes (sure, the extreme temperature helped him regain consciousness, but something as potent to knock you out for 18 hours with a small whiff can't completely lose effectiveness just because your feet are getting a little hot). The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the big fight with Penguin, everyone is doing some fencing with the umbrellas. The guy with the caveman face on the left switches stance depending on the camera angle; he's lunging forward waving his umbrella with one arm in the frontal views, and he's in a guarded position in the overhead shots. The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: Batman sends Swoop into the wall with an "OOOOFF!" onomatopoeia. The impact knocks down from the shelf a bunch of umbrellas that fall on the poor guy, but as the scene goes on, the floor is clean and the umbrellas are still on the wall rack. (00:21:30)

The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Robin deals with the Penguin henchman in the elevator, then suddenly jumps on the counter, watches Batman conk heads (in a real fake way) and starts laughing like a slightly demented person. In all that, the guy in the elevator was still standing and looking like he was waiting for his cue. He is just suddenly KO with no explanation in the full view of the room a moment later. The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4

Other mistake: In the pre-credits recap of part 1 of the episode we see Bruce awake and staring in horror (with actually a super hilarious face) at the furnace. It was not part of the previous episode at all and in fact Bruce wakes up only in this second episode.

The Riddler: You and your trained, exploding shark.
The Penguin: How was I to know they'd have a can of shark-repellent Batspray handy?

Batman trivia picture

Trivia: The 1966 T.V. Batmobile was created from a decade-old "concept show car" designed and built in 1955 by Ford's Lincoln Division. It was called the Lincoln Futura, and was originally a pearlescent pale green. After several years on the car show rounds (and an appearance in one movie, repainted red), it was sold for $1 to George Barris who stored it outdoors for 6 years. When FOX called looking for Barris to build a car for the show, they gave him 3 weeks, so he grabbed this already-weird looking car he had out back, sketched a few changes and passed the physical work to Bill Cushenberry. It was finished on time and the rest is history.

Answer: There wasn't one singular city used. It was shot in and around various locations in California, plus on a lot of sets and backlots. Ex. Some scenes were shot in LA, some in Pasadena, some in Santa Barbara, etc.
