Monk

Mr. Monk and the Red Herring - S3-E10

Continuity mistake: When Natalie puts out the fire with the extinguisher, the nozzle is still pushed down when she uses it, but when she puts it on the table, in the next shot the nozzle is fully extended. There are a number of times during the scene, when Monk is trying to figure out how to use it, where the nozzle's position keeps changing between shots.

In the next shot he is looking in a different direction and is smiling a toothy grin.

Mr. Monk Gets Stuck in Traffic - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: Whilst Monk is talking with Natalie and Julie about halfway through the episode, Natalie asks Monk whether he helped Julie to find somewhere to go to the bathroom. When Julie says she has managed to hold on Monk says, "isn't she a trooper?" and is pointing his finger at her and then lowers his hand. Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf - S3-E6

Continuity mistake: About midway through, the new nurse is sitting on Monk's kitchen counter eating a sandwich. She puts the sandwich down on a plate as she hops off, the shot switches to another angle to include Monk as she walks away, and the sandwich has suddenly jumped off the plate and is now lying on the counter a few feet away. Neither of them had time to pick it up or move it.

Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: When Monk is lost in the street crowd after getting pushed into the subway car, his left shirt collar is sticking up over his coat. It's still up when he puts his hands to his head, but is tucked neatly back in in the next shot, though he still has both hands on his head. A few seconds later, it's the right collar flap that's sticking out instead.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the episode, right after Ray Galardi kills Steve Marriot, Galardi puts him in the passenger side door of his VW Beetle and drives him up inside the dump-truck. Galardi puts him in the VW driver's seat, and walks around to the other side of the Beetle. This is all well and good, but, Marriot's head switches positions from the time when Galardi puts him in the car to the time he walks around and starts the engine.

Mr. Monk and the End - Part I - S8-E15

Continuity mistake: In 3-7 "Employee of the Month", Joe Christie says he was with Monk when he got the news of Trudy's death. He said Monk had been laughing, and that he never heard him laugh again. In this episode Monk and Stottlemeyer get called to the scene of a crime, a women's clinic. In this episode there is a flashback to the exact same location years earlier and to Stottlemeyer getting the phone call about Trudy's death. He and Monk were working a case that day and Joe Christie was not present.

More trivia for Monk

Answer: Stottlemeyer was already upset after the phone call. He was trying to get "Kevin" (who would have to be a judge, but no further character information is given) to issue a restraining order with no evidence of needing one, except that Adrian Monk said she needs one. Kevin said he would need to "sleep on it." So it's clear they've been trying to provide protection and unable to get the results they need, which seems to be based on no one trusting Monk the way Stottlemeyer does. He's just angry that they failed to protect Linda despite all their work. Although it does feel like a scene was cut, or altered, from the show that shows the futile attempts to protect Linda which built up to his outrage.
