Three Valentines - S6-E14

Continuity mistake: When Niles is engaged in his ironing fiasco, Eddie is watching his every move. When Niles heads to the kitchen to get spot remover, Eddie is sitting on the footstool. The next shot shows Eddie turned to watch Niles - but he is now in the chair; it is not just a tricky angle, as he actually lays his chin on the back of the chair. There was no time for Eddie to jump from the footstool to the chair.

Three Valentines - S6-E14

Continuity mistake: During the opening scene, Niles is on the phone to his chef, and behind him, on a table, are two champagne glasses (beside the phone base)and 3 candles. He hangs up the phone, moves away and 2 of the candles and the glasses have disappeared, and the phone has been pushed further over. He sits on the couch, then goes to get the ironing board - when he sets it up we see the glasses and candles are back.

Three Valentines - S6-E14

Plot hole: During the scene when Frasier is in Cassandra's hotel room, he phones Roz and puts his phone back in his jacket pocket. He hangs his jacket on the back of the chair and eventually gets into bed with Cassandra, who soon falls asleep. He talks to her but she doesn't answer. We then hear him phoning Roz - but there was no time for him to get out of bed and get the phone - and no sounds of him doing this.

Three Valentines - S6-E14

To Tell the Truth - S6-E15

Continuity mistake: Niles and Frasier meet Donny for the first time in his office. Donny's secretary brings him a sandwich and he takes a bite out of it, in the center of the sandwich half. He starts saying how good it is, and offers the guys a bite - now the bitten part has moved and is on the outer edge of the sandwich.

To Tell the Truth - S6-E15

Continuity mistake: Frasier goes into the kitchen to get Niles some water; he gets an empty glass goblet, then opens the fridge and takes out a bottle of water and then it cuts to the glass sitting on the counter already full of water.

Decoys - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: When Niles and Roz are talking at the cabin, in some shots her sleeve is pushed up her arm and in some it is down to her wrist, with no time for her to change it.

Decoys - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: As part of his divorce settlement from Maris, Niles gains ownership of Shady Glen, Maris' mountain home. After this episode, Shady Glen is never seen or mentioned again. What's even odder is that Niles and the rest of the characters over the years go to mountain cabins, which makes no sense because wouldn't they just use Niles' place?

Decoys - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: Early in the show Niles and Daphne are in the kitchen talking while Daphne makes tea. She puts the lid on the teapot and in the next shot the lid is on the counter again.

Decoys - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: The nutcracker in the bowl next to Frasier's elbow changes position several times while they are trying to convince Marty to change the date of his poker game. (00:11:00)

Dinner Party - S6-E17

Continuity mistake: Late in the show, Frasier throws his notebook on the coffee table and it lies flat near the books. A couple of shots later, it is on top of one of the books, with pages flipped back. No one went near it in the meantime.

Dinner Party - S6-E17

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Daphne is upset because there's a spot on her dress, Roz is standing with her arms by her sides - then in a quick shot change, her arms and hands are up in front of her, holding her purse and wrap.

Dinner Party - S6-E17

Continuity mistake: At the start of the show Niles is playing the piano. He turns to talk to Frasier and his hands are in his lap, but in the next shot one hand is back up on the piano keys, with no time for this to have happened naturally.

Taps at the Montana - S6-E18

Continuity mistake: Niles leaves the kitchen with a small tray of devilled eggs to serve his guests - as the shot changes to him coming into the dining area, he is carrying a different tray, with different appetizers on it, including some grapes. (00:08:35)

Taps at the Montana - S6-E18

Continuity mistake: Frasier discovers Niles' bird is dead and throws a dish towel over it. The next shot of the dish towel shows it has changed position, and the third shot shows it back in its original state. No one touched it in the meantime. (00:10:10)

Frasier: And though washing one's hands twenty to thirty times a day would be considered obsessive/compulsive, please bear in mind that your husband is a coroner. Thank you for your call, Jeanine. Roz, whom do we have next?

Show generally

Question: There's probably an obvious answer to this but is there any actual in-show significance to the 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' song heard at the end of every episode? I ask mainly because I remembered there was one show in particular where Frasier unintentionally scars Lilith emotionally and pretty much cements the end of their relationship over a misunderstanding about scrambled eggs. Were there any similar conflicts over a tossed salad?

Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
