Other mistake: When Lister reads Rimmer's diary, he reads the first entry, then his aunt's birthday in July and then the entry for Gazpacho Soup Day in November. Each time he looks for the next entry he flicks though the pages, yet every time he reads, it is from the start of the diary. (00:15:25)
Visible crew/equipment: Just before Rimmer sends his 'Internal Memo' Lister is standing next to his fish tank in the sleeping quarters. In the relection of the glass you can see pages being looked through by a member of the crew. (00:23:15)
Continuity mistake: When the cat priest dies, the hat he is wearing falls onto the bed above his head. When the shot changes the hat is gone. (00:26:35)
Continuity mistake: When Rimmer says he wants the 'aliens' to give him a real body, his arms are outstretched. In the next shot they are folded. (00:17:20)
Continuity mistake: During Lister's exam, he takes the dough and puts it into the bowl while talking to Kochanski. When she turns into Rimmer, Lister is still rolling the dough and it is not in the bowl. (00:27:00 - 00:28:25)

When Lister is laughing at Rimmer's newspaper headlines on the door, the camera changes and the first frame only has Lister and Rimmer with the scutters. Continuity mistake: When confidence explodes outside the ship, a helmet appears on the walkway which was not there earlier in the scene. (00:26:50)
Revealing mistake: When Holly gives Rimmer a new haircut, Rimmer salutes and touches his hair with his hand. Surely he would have noticed his hair has become much longer, especially after he asked for a crew cut. (00:07:00)
Visible crew/equipment: In the flashback scene of Lister and his mates, just after Lister says about brains in jars, a yellow boom mic can be seen at the top of the screen. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: When the Cat is eating the food set out by Lister, there is a cloth on the table. When Lister is asking where the other kitties are, the cloth is shown near the centre of the table. Rimmer then says he wants it off the ship, and the cloth is suddenly further to the right of the table. (00:27:45)
Continuity mistake: When Lister is revising for the exam, he opens a can of beer which sprays foam onto the table, and onto his cigarettes, when he opens it. A few seconds later, the sprayed foam disappears from the table. (00:19:30)
Continuity mistake: When Rimmer is talking to Lister before the exam and says they are friends, Lister replies "When?" Lister has a can of beer on the bunk, with the label facing the camera. Two shots after, the label is suddenly facing away from the camera. A couple of shots after that, the label is suddenly facing the camera again. (00:23:15)
Answer: Presumably he does, but it's never been used in any material related to the show. He is the only Cat left (as shown in Series 1), so even if he had once had a name, nobody would know it.
