Continuity mistake: When Charlotte tells Carrie to go on the second date, there's quite an editing chaos with Charlotte's glass: It suddenly appears in her hand without her having picked it up. Then she puts it down but a shot later she is drinking again.
Continuity mistake: During lunch at the diner with the girls, Carrie's straw swaps between pointing in a 3 o'clock direction to an 8 o'clock, back and forth.
Continuity mistake: Carrie talks about dating Berger and says "leave it to me... which is flexible" and puts her left hand on her heart. A shot later her arm is lowered by her side.
Continuity mistake: Charlotte tells Harry "you changed your mind with the Jewish thing" while she caresses his chest and his hand is lowered. A shot later his hand is suddenly on his chest and his fingers are entwined with Charlotte's.
Continuity mistake: When Charlotte wakes Harry up, his left hand is on his tummy. From a different angle his hand is by his side and he is rising it again.
Continuity mistake: Steve grabs the baby wipes and leaves none in the box. A shot later a wipe is magically sticking out.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda tries to clean her forehead, the baby's head lies on her collarbone. A shot later the head is away and staring at Steve. Then we go back to the first shot and the baby is lying against the collarbone again.
Continuity mistake: The amount of feces on Miranda's forehead changes between the first time she smudges it on her forehead and half a second later when Steve warns her. This happens before the listed mistake that takes place when he wipes the poo off.
Continuity mistake: While having dinner with Harry, Charlotte grabs her bread and breaks it in half, then eats a bit. From the opposite angle she is grabbing the whole bread again and breaking it in half again.
Continuity mistake: While having lunch at the Meat Packing District, Sam grabs her lipstick but it disappears a shot later.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie exits the Wall Street subway station, the passers-by on the right are not continuous between shots.
Answer: I'm a long-time fan of the show, having re-watched it many times, and I definitely remember slightly different dialogue at the end of that episode than what's on my DVD. I'm afraid I have no idea why this change might have been made or any other info, but you're not insane.
