Buffy The Vampire Slayer

The Wish - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is walking forwards through Angel's dust in 'The Wish' there's a vampire running towards her, only a few steps behind. Then there's a shot of her walking forwards taken from another angle, then when we can see behind her again the same vampire hasn't moved forwards at all, he's still running from 3 steps behind her. The Wish - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: In the episode 'The Wish', when Xander stakes Angel he is thrown to Buffy's left, away from the machine. Seconds later as Buffy walks forward it cuts to a shot of Xander fighting to her right, on the other side of the machine. (00:41:25)

The Wish - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode when Buffy is fighting the demon, she stabs it and the demon lands half on top of her. When they fall to the ground, you can see a big stain on her pants where the demon touched her. But when she stands up, her pants are clean.

The Wish - S3-E9

Visible crew/equipment: There's a boom mic visible when Cordelia is talking to Harmony and the other Cordettes. It's the first scene in the alternate universe and they're standing inside a classroom of Sunnydale High (Cordy says something about going to the Bronze).

Amends - S3-E10

Continuity mistake: During season 7 we are told several times that the First cannot take corporeal form, ie. it cannot touch things. However, in its first appearance in the season 3 episode 'Amends', when it manifests as Jenny Calender and runs its fingers through Angel's hair you can see his hair moving underneath her fingers. It wouldn't be able to do this if it weren't corporeal. (00:15:50)

Amends - S3-E10

Factual error: In Amends, season three, one of the movies playing at the theater is 'Abilene,' which was not released until March 13, 1999 ; three months after this episode was aired (and probably five months after it was filmed, which is interesting). (00:43:10)

Amends - S3-E10

Revealing mistake: In the shot with Buffy and Angel on the hill when it first starts snowing, the snow appears much more dense in the middle of the shot, over the characters, than it does on either side, showing where they centred the machine they used.

Amends - S3-E10

Other mistake: During this episode near the beginning, Xander says something about Giles not liking Angel to the effect of, "he killed his girlfriend (Jenny) and tortured him." However, the subtitles say "tortured her," not "him."

Gingerbread - S3-E11

Factual error: There is a short picture of a 17th century German newspaper. The actual text however not only is written in modern High German as opposed to Mid-High German, but also is full of errors (mixing female articles with male nouns is only one example). Funnily enough, Giles' incantation at the end of the episode is in correct German. (00:30:45)

Gingerbread - S3-E11

Factual error: When Giles and Cordelia are driving to save the girls from getting burned at the stake and are making the potion to make the demon show his true face Giles tells Cordelia to shred the Wolfsbane. This is a huge mistake as any Witch will know (my sister pointed this out to me) that Wolfsbane is highly poisonous and should never be touched with bare hands and Cordelia didn't have gloves or anything.

Helpless - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: After Xander and Oz's "Kryptonite" conversation, Buffy tosses a book onto the table and stands up to leave. The book lands partially on top of another book and slides almost off it. In the next shot the book is lying on top of the other book perfectly.

Helpless - S3-E12

Plot hole: When Buffy enters the house to rescue her mother she uses a stake to stop the front door from closing. A vampire then grabs it and the door closes. Why did Buffy use a stake knowing that there was a vampire there when she was almost killed by a vampire with her own stake earlier in the episode because Giles had been injecting her with a muscle relaxant?

The Zeppo - S3-E13

Visible crew/equipment: While Buffy, Giles, and the gang are in the library fighting the demon that came out of the Hellmouth, the camera zooms toward the door that leads into the hall, where you can see Xander being chased by the dead guys. As the camera zooms in closer towards the round window in the door, you can see its reflection in the glass when the strobe light flashes. (00:36:10)

The Zeppo - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: In the basement scene, with Jack and Xander, the bomb counts down from 13 to 10 seconds. Then after Xander says his line, the bomb again shows 13 seconds.

Touched - S7-E20

Spike: You listen to me. [Kneels in front of her.] I've been alive a bit longer than you, and dead a lot longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't imagine, and done things I prefer you didn't. I don't exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood, which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes, a lot of wrong bloody calls. A hundred plus years, and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of: you. [Buffy looks away; he reaches toward her face.] Hey, look at me. I'm not asking you for anything. When I say, "I love you, " it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.
Buffy: [Quietly.] I don't wanna be the one.

The Yoko Factor (1) - S4-E20

Question: At the last moment before leaving for good, Angel pauses to tell Buffy "I don't like him" [Riley], to which she replies with a large smile "Thank you." Why does she take this comment surprisingly well? From an ex boyfriend to her new boyfriend? It's not like it sounds like a friendly warning of any sort, nor a joke given the tense situation between the two guys in the episode. And the smile on Buffy's face does not make her response look ironic either, more like loving/caring. Is that a cross over reference to another dialogue in the Angel series?

AnthonyA

Chosen answer: Angel is saying that he is still jealous and Buffy recognizes that this is his way of saying he wishes that they could be together. That is why they both smile.
