However, in the original series, Dexter was considerably younger, as flashbacks detailed that a pre-pubescent Dexter would kill animals. One episode even showed that a dog that a very young Deb brought home had to be taken back, as Harry feared that Dexter would kill it.

Answer: Around 1 year old is very unlikely. However, there are numerous reports and articles online of kids as young as 4 telling people "daddy hurt mummy" or vice versa when witnessing a murder.
