The Man with the Umbrella - S1-E3
Plot hole: With all the cameras and guards watching, there's no way anyone would be able to use a cigarette lighter to help them pass the game.

I watched season 1 on Netflix.
This is pretty much just a review for season 1 as I have no real interest in anything after that.
Season 1 of Squid Games was fairly compelling. I thought the hype for it was a bit over blown, but I still liked it. It didn't overstay its welcome and I thought wrapped up with a very good resolution and lessons. Good characters, a fun twist I didn't see coming, and a sense of mystery and dread that fit very well.
Once I heard about Season 2, I was curious about it, however hearing from other reviewers and the likes what they say about it, I lost all interest in the series. I thought Season 1 ended in a way they didn't need to come back to this. Yet Season 2, appears to be just milking it hard and trying to drain the well. Stretch things out in a way that was unneeded. And now I hear they're doing an American Squid Games for season 3 and just the teaser alone for it looked stupid.
I like season 1. But I have no interest in watching anything after that.

Suggested correction: The guards do not care about cheating as long as it doesn't break the rules of the game or challenge the integrity of the games. Using a lighter was not explicitly forbidden by the rules, so even if they saw it (which is not guaranteed), the guards wouldn't step in.
Trivia: They keep guessing the next game, however clues are hiding in plain sight. The illustrations on the dormitory walls depict all the games, from "Red Light, Green Light" to the final match of Squid Game.
