Corrected entry: Considering it is 'supposed' to have taken place in the late 70s, why were the characters popping the caps off of their beer bottles? Pop-off caps weren't first introduced until the early 80s.

thumper

Correction: Pop-off bottle caps have been around way longer than the 80s.

Corrected entry: In one of the opening scenes, it says Aug 2, 1988, first day of practice. Hmm. Full pads on Day 1. In any high school in North America, no one gets full pads on the first day: the team gets those on Day 4. And as well, Billy Bobble-Head is giving a lecture about how "There is a team 15 miles down the road who want to win (State)." Uh, although Odessa is a part of the Dallas District, Dallas is 300 miles away.

thumper

Correction: Back before regulations were strict about student-athlete safety, it was common for full pads to be worn on the first day. Also, when Billy Bob Thornton talks about a team 15 miles down the road that wants to win state, he's talking about Lee High School in Midland, Permian's longtime football rival.

Correction: As well as OHS, Odessa High and MHS, Midland High they were all powerhouse football homes and literally down the street for OHS and PHS, and 10 miles for Midland Lee and MHS. So he did not misspeak, you misunderstood the amount of football talent in West Texas.

Odessa High was in no way a powerhouse. At the time of the movie, the Bronchos had lost 24 straight games to Permian.

Correction: The 15 miles down the road would have been aimed at Midland Lee.

The Chase (1994)

Correction: They argue a fair bit during the film. please be more specific.

Ssiscool

Corrected entry: In T4, Connor takes out a moto-terminator, flips it upright, gives it gas and speeds away changing gears. Why a rolling death machine would have handles and foot gears for gas and acceleration is beyond me.

thumper

Correction: An event 'being beyond you' is never a good start to a submission. It's well known in the Terminator universe that Skynet started by adapting and improving human designs and machines. That Skynet has chosen to take a human designed motorbike and build upon it a high speed Terminator might seem strange given its lack of effectiveness, but the history of using human technology is already evident. Even aside from that, having handles, etc. means the upcoming T-800 models can use them for rapid transportation too.

Halloween (2007)

Corrected entry: In the cemetery scene, Loomis and Chester Chesterfield are discussing the dead animal when Loomis uses his cell phone. In 1978 cell phones were a loooong ways off.

thumper

Correction: By the time this part of the movie takes place, you've already seen several other characters using or at least handling cell phones. Another correction says it had been many years since Michael's first crimes, so yes, they'd been invented.

dewinela

Correction: At this point in the movie it has been many years since Michael's incarceration and by that time cell phones have been invented.

Correction: The remake isn't set in the 70's. In this film, Michael was born in 1980, so when he's 10 and murders people, it's 1990.

Last Action Hero (1993)

Corrected entry: When a car is blown up on a street, not only do you see the explosion, but also the black roll-over cannon that was used to give the car its lift off.

thumper

Correction: You mean during the movie with Jack Slater? Yes, it is a spoof of all action movies with typical Hollywood action movie cliches, including all kinds of 'rigged' explosions. Note the references of "how things happen in the real world" towards the end of the movie.
