Question: When the boat first starts sinking, some nameless crew members are shown trying to sort things out. But I don't remember them appearing again, even when the DJs were being rescued. Did they drown?

Question: My understanding of The Daleks is that they draw their power from their vertical shoulder slats. The new paradigm Daleks have no shoulder slats, so where are they drawing their power from?
Chosen answer: Don't know where you got that information from, but there doesn't seem to be much around to support it. Models of Dalek shown in very early episodes of the original series got their power from external sources, but since then they have operated entirely on unspecified internal power sources concealed within their armour. No reason to think that the new Daleks are any different.

Question: When Professer Yana is beginning to realise who he really is, he hears the voices of previous Masters. Could someone tell me where these audio clips were taken from?
Chosen answer: "Destroy him! Then you will give your power to me! is Roger Delgado in "The Daemons" (1971). The other is Anthony Ainley laughing evilly, not sure where that was from.

Question: Why does this serial only survive in black and white. If it was made in colour, why did the BBC have black and white copies in the first place?
Chosen answer: The reason this serial only exsists in black and white when it was recorded in colour is because in the 60's and 70's the BBC wiped and reused video tapes, some of which were Doctor Who. Luckily copies were made and sent to other countries, most of which didnt have colour TV's. These copies were later found and returned to the BBC archive.

Question: Out of all the robotic arms The Daleks could have equipped themselves with, why did they select toilet plungers?
Chosen answer: Because Dalek toilet technology is the only area where they are inferior to the rest of the universe. Approximately 1960's. You'd have to ask the designer of The Daleks. It is shown in the new series to be a very nasty weapon indeed, some sort of point singularity projection device, like a mini-black hole launcher.
There are lots of documentaries and DVD special features about The Daleks and how they made. It was due to budget costs that they use the plunger the idea was that it was able to suck or stick to anything push and pull.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
Question: Anyone who's read the seventh book will know that Harry misses something very important in the room of requirement (I'm being vague here to avoid spoilers.) Is said item ever shown in this film?
Chosen answer: I have watched the film several times and specifically looked for the item you are mentioning (The bust of a warlock with an ugly wig, and the object you're referring to). I have not seen it. There ARE several Easter Eggs from previous movies, however, such as the harp and chess pieces from HP1.

Question: If Owen and Toshiko were already working for Torchwood's Cardiff branch before Torchwood One collapsed, what were they doing in London at the time of "Aliens of London"? Surely there must have been another medic in the region.
Chosen answer: As long as Jack's been in charge of it, Torchwood Cardiff has had a different agenda than Torchwood One. Tosh and Owen were there to watch for signs of the 10th Doctor, however, it was the 9th that showed up when the ship crashed in London.

Question: Why are Girls Aloud credited with being on the soundtrack, when that isn't their version of "Jump" which the Prime Minister listens to?
Chosen answer: Irrelevant when it comes to soundtracks, Girls Aloud released a version of Jump to coincide with the movie's release and the video for the song featured scenes from the movie, hence its inclusion.

Chosen answer: They can be seen in a couple of long shots of the ship's prow as the DJs shelter there. It's reasonable to assume, given that they were present when the rescue flotilla arrived, that they were picked up as well, just off-screen while the film focused on the main characters.
