Corrected entry: It's stated that Omega caused the black hole when he created a supernova. Supernovas don't cause black holes, they're created by huge stars imploding.

The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007)
The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith (1) - S3-E6
Corrected entry: Both Sarah Jane and The Doctor realise that the same second is repeating itself around them after seeing a TV clip of some racehorses. But both clips are identical, even though she is supposed to be a second behind him.
Correction: Both clips are slightly different. In the Doctor's one, the horse has just taken off in the clip, and in Sarah's, the horse lands.

Doctor Who (2005)
Corrected entry: The Doctor phones Jackie just as she runs past a sign which says E6. However, she later looks at a sign which says E3. Figures refer to staircase numbers, not floor numbers.
Correction: I've watched this episode again and the sign on the staircase says N3 not E3.

Doctor Who (2005)
Corrected entry: The Eleventh Doctor refers to the Silurians as "Homo Reptilia." The prefix "Homo" refers to apes and is incorrect, as the Silurians are reptiles.
Correction: Homo Reptilia would mean something like Reptile Human. The Silurians are a race of reptile-like humanoids.

The Boat That Rocked (2009)
Corrected entry: The news/weather man announces that the marine offenses act was passed unanimously. But when the cabinet were shown voting on it, several of them didn't vote for it.
Correction: There's no way that John could actually know that several ministers failed to vote for it - all he has to go on is whatever press release the government sent out. If that said that the act passed unanimously, then it's not a mistake for John to repeat that.

Doctor Who (2005)
Corrected entry: In "Blink" the angels are unable to move at times when no one's watching them. The explanation being that the audience are. But in "Flesh and Stone" the angels are able to move on screen.
Correction: This is a stylistic choice by the programme makers. In "Blink", the Angels were not seen to move directly - while the choice was made in that episode to present the actions of the Angels as if the audience were observers, this is purely for dramatic purposes; the audience are obviously not, in fact, present. In the later episodes, this conceit was dispensed with, allowing the Angels to be seen to move directly when no character was able to observe them.

Corrected entry: If Rimmer's bedsheets are holographic, Lister shouldn't be able to move them.

Top Gear (2002)
Corrected entry: During the 24 hour race, it is made to look as if The Stig reaches the end of the pit lane with seconds to spare. But as he sets off, there is a yellow car behind him, which wasn't there in any shots of him driving down the pit lane.
Correction: The Stig reaches the end of the pit lane as described - as he drives down the pit lane, one shot shows the cars on the race track coming into the finish straight, so he did indeed reach the end of the pit lane with very little time to spare. Just because another car arrives after the Top Gear car does, it doesn't invalidate statements that they were only seconds from being disqualified. As for the yellow car, we don't know exactly where it comes from - it may have been from a garage close to the pit exit, in which case it would not have been seen in the shots of the Stig driving down the pit lane and would have had time to get into position before time ran out.

Torchwood (2006)
Corrected entry: The death sentence for cowardice was abolished in 1917, a year before Tommy gets executed.
Correction: The last real-life execution for cowardice took place in 1917, but it was not officially abolished at that point. The death penalty for cowardice remained on the British statute books until 1930 when it was finally, after a couple of previous failures, abolished after years of campaigning by MP (and former soldier) Ernest Thurtle. As such it is entirely reasonable that a fictional character like Tommy could have been executed for the crime in 1918.

Red Dwarf (1988)
Corrected entry: Frankenstein is too young to be pregnant. Therefore, she could not have been the ancestor of the cat race.
Correction: Female domestic cats reach sexual maturity at five or six months old, but don't stop growing until they are twelve to sixteen months old. Frankenstein isn't fully grown, but that is no indication of her sexual maturity - or pregnancy.

Correction: Basic lifecycle of extremely massive stars: they're born, they live for several million years, they die in a large supernova. There are two potential outcomes of a supernova: the creation of a pulsar or neutron star, or the creation of a black hole, depending on how massive the original star was. So yes, black holes are indeed created in supernovas.
