Lost (2004)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Episode 2x19 S.O.S.: Ana-Lucia tells Locke that "I pressed your button". Locke replies with "It's not my button". The closed caption read "It's not my butt".

Correction: When closed captions are missing letters or have misspellings, it is usually the result of a reception or transmission problem. The channel reception could also affect the captions. It could also have been a stenocaptioner error. Either way, it's not a show error.

Scarface (1983)

Corrected entry: When we first see Tony and Manny working in the USA in the food store Manny's customer makes a very interesting Spanish comment, if you translate the Spanish subtitles into English you will find a very interesting referral to Al Pachino's acting career.

Correction: Unless the translated comment is provided, this entry should not be considered trivia.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Season 4 and Season 5 are set 18 months apart (a year and a half). It is summer in Season 4, which indicates it will be Winter in Season 5, but it is still the Summer.

Correction: The show takes place in Los Angeles. It is winter right now, and it's been very sunny during this time. We've only had rain two times this year, and it's been around 60ºF and above, up to almost 80ºF.

Jane Doe

Corrected entry: In the last meeting between Ennis and Jack on Brokeback Mountain, Jack has had a moustache for several years. In one closeup shot of Jack's face, he is without a moustache, and then the next shot is of him having one.

Correction: In the last meeting, there is a scene that takes us back to the year when they fell for each other. They're standing next to a fire, Ennis puts his arm around Jack, and Jack caresses it with his face. That's when we see Jack without his mustache. After that brief moment, which was almost 20 years before, we see Jack with his mustache.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Corrected entry: When Vincent and Mia get back from the restaurant, she rewinds the tape deck to play music. There is a closeup of her finger pressing the play button, then she presses play again. (00:48:50)

Correction: She first presses the play with her right finger to stop the tape from rewinding. Then she does a little dance move, presses the play button again with her left finger to start the tape.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Corrected entry: In the pawn shop, when Butch comes down to the rescue, he slashes the first man, steps in front of him, then stabs him. Zed steps forward and the sword swings up to Zed's face. In the next shot of Butch, it shows him bringing the sword up again.

Correction: Watch this scene twice and it shows the sword next to his face in both shots.

Collateral (2004)

Corrected entry: Why is it that Max, Annie, and then Vincent enter a Los Angeles subway and there is almost no one in it? Even though it is nighttime, Los Angeles has the second busiest subway in the United States.

Correction: I'm from LA, and have ridden the subway late at night, and it's sometimes eerily empty. It's also almost empty mid-afternoon during non-rush hour.

Dirty Dancing (1987)

Corrected entry: When Baby and Johnny are balancing on the log over the creek, you see a blue fall mat visible at the bottom of the screen.

Correction: I watched the scene two times, and the mat is not visible at all.

Dirty Dancing (1987)

Corrected entry: When Lisa first gets out of the car as they arrive at Kellermans, she is wearing a bow in her hair but in a later shot from the behind, there is no bow. (00:03:10)

Correction: The bow is always on her head. In one shot, we only see less than 1/3 of her head when the camera is behind her. The bow is out of frame during that shot, but in other shots from behind, the bow is visible.

Dirty Dancing (1987)

Corrected entry: When Johnny and Baby have the conversation about 'Have you had many women', Johnny gets out of bed totally naked. However, when Baby rolls over you can see that she is wearing underwear. This isn't very probable if they have just had sex. (01:05:05)

Correction: When we see them, they're lying in bed having a coversation. Which means that they didn't *just* finish having sex. She had enough time to put on her underwear. Plus, Johnny's her first lover, who's to say that she was comfortable being completely naked?

Lost (2004)

Correction: To acquire realism, actors snort and inject themselves with non-toxic stuff. It should not be considered trivia if actors do something to better their perfomance. Specially if it's done often.

Lost (2004)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Season 2, Episode 3: While Jack and Locke are watching the "Orientation" film down in the underground pod, the doctor in the film mentions that the clock must be reset before it reaches 108 minutes. "108" is the exact total of all the "Lotto Numbers" added together, which ironically are also the numbers used to program the clock. 4 + 8 + 15 + 16 + 23 + 42 = 108.

Correction: How is it ironic if the numbers are part of the mystery of the island? The numbers come up in a lot of situations, it's done on purpose by the writers. It's part of the show.

The Transporter 2 (2005)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Frank jumps his car from a parking garage to an adjacent rooftop, he smashes his car through a cinder-block wall, but when he lands, his car's front end has no damage.

Correction: The car has been retrofitted with parts that will protect him and the car from any damage.

Swingers (1996)

Corrected entry: When Mikey and Trent are driving to Vegas, the top on the convertible is up. They stop at a gas station and the top is down. They get back on the road and the top is up again.

Correction: This is not a continuous scene. The shots jump from when they're on the road, then in the gas station, then back on the road. We don't see them pull in and out of the gas station. That gives them enough time to put the top down and up between shots.

Jane Doe

Corrected entry: Zach asks a friend over the phone to hire an investigator to find 'dirt' on John and Jeremy. Later, he exposes them for being Crashers. But since the pair were using fake names, surely all the investigator would have found is that they were lying about their names?

Correction: We don't see how Zach's friend finds out who they really are. There are a lot of ways of finding out information in this day and age.

The Godfather (1972)

Corrected entry: When the heads of the five families meet to call a truce, right in the middle of where Don Barzini makes his famous comment, "After all, we're not Communists," his elbow slips off the table. I guess Coppola decided to keep it in.

Correction: How is that a movie mistake? It's not even a character mistake. That's a human slip up.

The Godfather (1972)

Corrected entry: When Tom Hagen is meeting with Jack Woltz at the restaurant, the server fills his wine glass with red wine. Yet when he lifts it to drink, there is nothing in the glass.

Correction: First, they're not in a restaurant, they're at Woltz's home. Second, Tom has two glasses next to his plate, a small glass for wine, and a larger glass for water. The glass that Tom picks up to drink is the larger one with water.

The Godfather (1972)

Corrected entry: When Michael visits Kay for the first time since he's been back, the first shot shows a cloudy day, then when they are walking with the car behind them all of a sudden it's a beautiful day. (02:08:15)

Correction: When Michael sees Kay, she's seen walking with her students. When they take a walk, one of her students greets her while riding his bike. This means that it's later in the day, and school is over. So enough time has passed by for the day to clear up.

Jane Doe

Corrected entry: Charlie's grandpa gave him a 1-pound coin to buy a Wonka Bar. So why didn't Charlie buy 10 Wonkas when he found the 10-pound note in the street? Or at least put his hand out for the change; after all his family is very strapped for cash.

Correction: His intention was to buy one Wonka Bar and keep the change. He was too excited to remember about the change since he won the Golden ticket.
