Continuity mistake: When the general is coming in for a landing, one of the bad guys is standing next to the radar display in the middle of the church. He appears to be doing something with the radar. The angle cuts, and he's now sitting down.

Revealing mistake: McClane jumps out of the helicopter at the end and lands on the wing of the larger airplane. The stunt man who does this then proceeds to move up to a long wire on the side of the wing. Any normal airplane would not have a long wire on the wing.

Audio problem: John is on the wing of the plane, questioning why he is there. His mouth isn't moving with what he is saying.

Factual error: In the tower, Leslie Barnes and a few men are talking about the Annex Skywalk, mentioning that it is a "VHF System." Barnes says the planes are so close it won't matter. VHF, or Very High Frequency, transmits far distances, hence why it is used by airports around the world. He should have said "UHF", which transmits shorter distances, as that would make more sense.

Trivia: When the older lady is showing off her taser in the beginning of the film she is holding a magazine. On the back of the magazine is an advertisement for Lethal Weapon. Joel Silver, who produced Lethal Weapon, also produced this film. (00:05:36)

Factual error: The first shot of the church is a high up shot which pans down as the van enters the shot. High mountains can be seen in the background. The film is set in Washington D.C. (Note: the film was shot in the Denver area.).
