Question: At the end of Part 3, when we see the police taking Chris out of the cabin and to one of the squad cars, it's the middle of the day. At the beginning of this film, however, when we see the police taking the dead bodies out of the cabin, it's the middle of the night. What's going on here? Would it really have taken them that long to collect all the bodies?

La Confidential (1997)
Question: When Exley and Carlyle went to Navarrette's apartment to re-arrest the Nite Owl suspects, why didn't they think to bring two or three other officers as backup? For all they knew, the suspects could have been armed to the teeth. If SWAT had existed in 1953 (which it did not, but if it did), they probably would have been the ones to go in.
Answer: Because the 'backup' were all corrupt and would have sooner shot the two in the back than backed them up.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
Question: At the end, when Julie gets to her new home, she taps the newly sold sign, then she gets her mail and goes inside. How does she have mail if she just started living there?
Answer: Also, we are led to believe that this entire ending is a dream sequence, not unlike the ending to the previous film. And, as we all know, in dreams nothing really matters. Also, we simply do not know how long it has been since Julie and Ray moved in. Maybe they just haven't taken the sign down yet.

Question: What is Jason holding when the helicopter arrives? A child? From where?
Answer: The French lady's child, who was trapped in the cab when they were all heading to the library. Emmy Rossum was translating for her when the cop was trying to get her out. Hope that answers your question.

Basic Instinct (1992)
Question: Why did Catherine target Nick? I know he's a big douchebag, but that can't be the only reason right? Was it to get revenge against Beth for once and all for leaving her?
Answer: No definitive answer is given in the film. Catherine didn't need a reason for anything that she did. As for Beth, that was just a bonus, or a coincidence. It could be argued that Catherine targeted Beth, and Nick was just unfortunate to be involved with Beth.
Answer: Because she's insane? And very ill. And dangerous. A pure bred psychopath. She got off screwing with him, his head. She has a degree in effing with you. Beth was just a bonus. Unlucky. Collateral damage. Unfortunate. Catherine was, is a clinical psychopath. She had no reason. Or it was fun for her. She was one twisted broad. An evil dame. (IMHO).

Question: How did Michael get his boiler suit?
Answer: When Aaron and Dana are killed at the truck stop, at one point Aaron spots a dead body - a man wearing nothing but an undershirt and underwear. The fact he's only wearing undergarments implies that he was wearing the boiler suit and that Michael killed him and took it.
Answer: He stole it. Just like he stole the one 40 years earlier. From a mechanic, no less. Both times, Michael murdered the mechanic and then pinched the dude's threads.

Question: Bond kills Kananga at the end by placing the bullet with the air pellet in his mouth which causes him to inflate and explode. But Bond had the bullet in his own mouth before when he was concealing it. Why didn't it kill him?
Chosen answer: Bond just stored the bullet in his own mouth to hide it. As he puts it in Kananga's mouth he presumably pulls a pin, or forces Kananga to bite it.
Answer: Bond knew to not bite down. Kananga had no such knowledge. He didn't realise what he was doing, or the effect that it would have on him; hence, boom.

Star Trek: Generations (1994)
Question: When Picard is talking to Guinan inside the Nexus, she tells him that he can leave and go anywhere, anytime. Picard and Kirk go back to Veridian III just before the launch of the missile. Now, why did the Enterprise still end up crashing saucer-section-only on Veridian III, if Kirk and Picard prevented the launch? The shockwave from the exploding star is what caused the Enterprise to crash land.
Answer: The way I remember it was that the Enterprise crashed because of the damage caused to it by the Klingons.
Answer: No, it didn't. The saucer section had crashed before the missile was even launched.

Halloween Kills (2021)
Question: Who is Conrad Mulaney and how did Lonnie steal his candy?
Answer: I always thought that Conrad was the guy with those two girls who steal Lonnie's candy. And Lonnie could have just pickpocketed the candy from Conrad. It's never explicitly stated in detail.
Answer: He's another kid, and Lonnie probably just picked on him and stole some of his candy... it happens.

Halloween Kills (2021)
Question: I'm confused. In Halloween 1978, Lonnie looks like he was a tough bully. In the flashback, he's the one getting bullied. Why is that?
Answer: Looks can be deceiving. Also, Lonnie had backup when he was tormenting Tommy. And bullies can be bullied, too. Plus, there were three of them against one of him.

Question: Why did the cable jam when Jim was being pulled into the rescue helicopter?
Answer: Simple malfunction to get the movie going. Also, the cable could have been old and in dire need of replacement.
Moreover, after jamming and before breaking loose, this cable started smoking.

Charlie's Angels (2000)
Question: Unless Dylan or a stewardess closed the plane's door, wouldn't passengers get sucked out as she and the would-be bomber parachuted out of it?
Answer: A plane's altitude is a factor. If flying low enough so that the cabin's internal air pressure is equal to the external air pressure, there would not be a huge suction; the danger would be passengers falling out the open door. At a higher altitude, the door being blown open or a hole in the fuselage would suck people out until the pressure equalized within a few minutes. (Those left inside would suffocate without oxygen masks.) It's impossible to open the door if the inner and outer air pressures are unequal. Think of skydivers jumping from planes. The altitude must be under 10,000 feet for divers not to pass out from low oxygen during the descent and be below the sub-freezing air temperatures. The whole scene is ridiculous; the bomb's shockwave would likely kill or seriously injure all three. Jumping from the plane that way could have sucked them into the jet's engine or hit the wing or tail resulting in death.
Answer: Yes, you're correct, they would. But once the door was opened, there was no reclosing it. The way I look at it is that this was just a pre-credit action set piece which had zero to do with the rest of the movie. Similar to the Bond movies, only excruciatingly dumb.

Zodiac (2007)
Question: In the movie, Robert meets a theatre owner and he shows his basement. Why did he get scared and run out?
Answer: I always thought that Robert thought that the theatre guy was the Zodiac Killer, and he kept on hearing noises coming from upstairs, which also made him run out.

My Bloody Valentine (2009)
Question: What caused Tom to start killing everyone?
Answer: He had a psychological disorder which was triggered by the attack from Harry Warden. If I recall correctly, he developed a split personality.
Answer: It was many factors. First, he was blamed for letting the methane gas leak, which caused the explosion and deaths. Then, having one of the miners attack him and his friends. All that would cause anyone to go over the edge.

Question: Why did Michael spare Annie?
Answer: He was out of time and thought that maybe he had killed her, and his attention was now elsewhere, i.e. Laurie.
Answer: He knew she was Laurie's friend.
But he didn't spare Lynda, and she was also Laurie's friend.
Lynda was vulgar towards him in the beginning, and they also broke into what used to be his home to have sex. Honestly, not surprised he ended up killing her and her boyfriend (who are another representation of his sister and her boyfriend whom he killed).
Annie was either bait or he just had not finished yet.

When A Stranger Calls (2006)
Question: There's a deleted scene that's on the DVD where Officer Burroughs goes to the break room after his first phone call with Jill and he overhears two other officers talking about the murders at the beginning of the film. Even though it's unlikely he could have known then, why didn't he suspect right away that Jill's situation sounded similar to those murders, and that Jill was in serious danger?
Answer: Because it's unlikely that he knew then.

Question: How did the kids in the flashback know it was Lonnie who stole their brother's candy?
Answer: The way that I look at it is: they didn't know. Not for certain anyway. They just guessed and as it turns out, they were right. Also, they were bullies. And there were three of them and one of Lonnie.
Answer: It is my understanding that this is due to a complete lack of resources and/or manpower. Being that the location Higgins' Haven is located in is such a small podunk town, it would generally take more than a few hours to rustle up the required personnel to assist in such a mass cleanup of a massacre such as the one we were witness to.
