Revealing mistake: Jackie is so ecstatic at the idea that her boyfriend is going to work at her friend's estate that she kisses him without watching the road. Since she is not paying attention, the car nearly hits the hedge at one side of the road, and she does a last minute swerve ending up cutting through a lawn before she can get back on the road again. During this maneuver which should be spontaneous and unplanned, you can see dirt skidmarks on the asphalt in front of the car from previous takes and a clear pathway through the lawn. (00:07:30)

Other mistake: During the denouement, there is a scene with the meeting between Simon and Jacqueline inside the doctor's cabin. Jackie opens the doctor's case where he keeps the surgical tools pulling it out from a drawer, and she does not place the box back in the drawer or closes it; we see the whole time she spends inside the cabin, so it'd be impossible for the doctor not to notice what happened. Continuity mistake: Salome Otterbourne says she knows who killed Louise Bourget with her own eyes. She waves dramatically her left hand as she says that, and lowers it. Next shot and her hand am raised again, and it's not even the left. (01:49:30)

Continuity mistake: When the doctor arrives at the second murder scene and shouts "Killings, killings!", David Niven by the door is in pose with his arms crossed, and at the cut he has one hand on his knee and the other on the opposite hip. (01:46:40)

Stupidity: In the original novel, the attempt on Mrs. Doyle at the temples was made rolling a boulder off a cliff. In this adaptation, the culprit is said to 'dislodge' a large stone from the temple; you can however see that the stone is already dislodged and sticks out from its place on the pillar, and he had no way to know that the Doyles would be in that particular spot, making this attempt to Linnet's life rather nonsensical (requiring also herculean strength, no pun intended). Continuity mistake: When Race unfurls the packaging the crew dragged up from the riverbed, the part to his left (right of the frame) immediately comes undone and lines on the table, but in the close-up it opens differently. (01:30:00)

Revealing mistake: The Manager Of The Karnak Mr. Choudhury excitedly shouts "goody goody gumdrops" when the crew fishes out from the river the incriminating package. He then runs across the deck to bring it to the investigators. As he does that though, you can see on the floorboards already a wet trail from a previous take. (01:29:45)

Continuity mistake: During Louise's interview, look behind her as she mentions that naturally, if she "were not able to sleep..." The corner of the room (with the armchair where Poirot sits when he steals Simon's lunch) is entirely in the shade, but it's brightly lit in the rest of the scene. (01:22:40)
