The Shining (1980)

Trivia: For the famous scene where Jack Nicholson breaks down the door with an axe, the crew made a fake door for him to break through, but had to replace it with a real door as the fake one broke too quickly due to Jack Nicholson's prior training as a fireman. This dates to his period of military service in the Air National Guard in 1957. After completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Nicholson performed weekend drills and two-week annual training as a fire fighter assigned to the unit based at Van Nuys Airport. Some sources state they went through 60 doors during filming to get the footage Kubrick wanted.

John Wick (2014)

Trivia: Chad Stahelski has revealed that he and Reeves have a host of ideas for future instalments in the series, and are happy to keep making future films as long as the audience demand is there. "I enjoy making these movies because there's no limit, " said Stahelski. "We create our own mythology, and we have a studio that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions. If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days." https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2018/12/chad-stahelski-and-keanu-reeves-have-plenty-of-ideas-for-more-john-wick-movies/.

Trivia: In the scene with Tim the enchanter (played by John Cleese who also plays sir Lancelot), Lancelot has his face covered as another actor was used. It was the only time he wears a helmet. There's an interview with the actor who stood in for John Cleese about 'my day as a Monty Python extra': https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2017/mar/31/sitting-around-knitted-chainmail-extra-monty-python-holy-grail 'I wore a helmet over my face and had to be careful where I walked. That was the only downside of taking John's place - nobody can see my face. He starts the scene standing on a pinnacle, with a sheer drop either side. He was up there for nearly an hour, and it was pretty windy. The team kept shouting: "Are you all right?" The extent of my acting involved pretending my imaginary horse was rearing when the bangs went off.'
