Continuity mistake: When Meg introduces Jennifer to Lois, she is, as usual, wearing her glasses. However, right when Jennifer says, "Bye Meg," Meg is seen in the shot, and her glasses have disappeared. Her glasses are back on in the next shot.

Continuity mistake: When Woody is in Al's apartment thinking about leaving with the gang, he rubs the brown paint off his boot and looks at the name "Andy" written on it. The direction of the name is written differently, than when the cleaner first painted over it. (00:42:00 - 01:07:00)

Trivia: A popular film poster shows Emily and Victor reaching their hands toward one another. Emily's bony hand is on her right and Victor's suit and vest are backwards (note its buttons). Some say it was for legal reasons - Johnny Depp's name was supposed to appear on the poster first because of a contract, and they wanted the characters underneath the corresponding star names, hence the issue. Others say it was simply because the picture looked better with the bride on the right side.

Continuity mistake: When Ariel and Eric are in the boat together before their attempt to kiss, Ariel's hair is down. But in their shadows on the water, her hair is in a ponytail.

Continuity mistake: When Sebastian is in Ariel's cavern with all her treasures, he accidentally gets his legs caught in a thimble. You can see it from the front, but when they show a shot from the back, it is gone. In the following shot from the front, it is back on again. (00:17:30)

Continuity mistake: When Grimsby is presenting the statue of Eric to the prince, one of the crew's shirts changes colour from white/dark blue stripes to light blue/dark blue stripes, within the same shot. (This can be seen in the "Limited Issue" DVD, but was corrected in the DVDs issued in 2006). (00:20:00)

Continuity mistake: When Ariel is in the Prince's guest bedroom, the covers suddenly appear over her. (00:56:00)

Continuity mistake: During the "Kiss the Girl" song a bunch of fish swim up underneath the boat, and the water is seen to be very deep. After the boat is knocked over however, Ariel and Eric are standing in the water which now appears to be only a few feet deep.
