Factual error: Steve Judd makes a ten cent bet with Gil Westrum and plops down his dime. When we see the dime we see the worn reverse of a Mercury Dime. Mercury Dimes were not released until October 1916. This movie is set in the early years of the 20th Century, many years before Mercury Dimes were placed in circulation. (00:06:55)

Mystery Road (2013)

Factual error: Pete Bailey states he uses a Remington 700 rifle to shoot "roos" (kangaroos). The climactic shootout begins when Jay Swan spots Bailey's truck far across the valley. We see a small puff of smoke just before a shot rings out. Two seconds later Swan is struck by the bullet fired by Bailey. Throughout the gunfight the sound of a shot is heard before the bullet arrives. This also happens during the long-range gunfight between Johnno and Bailey. Bullets fired by a high-power rifle (like the Remington 700) are supersonic so the bullet would arrive before you could hear the shot. (01:47:20)

Custer - S2-E3

Factual error: In the opening scene Marshal Dillon walks in Boot Hill cemetery. Dates on grave markers include 1883 and 1882. At the end of the episode Marshal Dillon and Chester discuss an Army deserter who had just been acquitted of a murder that Marshal Dillon was sure he had committed. The army deserter is being sent back to his unit to fight the Sioux and Cheyenne Indians under Gen. Custer. The viewer knows the army deserter will soon die in the Battle of Little Big Horn on June 25, 1876 - seven years before the date on one of the grave markers. (00:00:25 - 00:24:30)
