Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

The Living Legend (1) - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: After Cain leaves the planning session for the attack on the Cylon convoy, Apollo walks toward Adama. In the background is a metal wall unit. At the far right side, halfway down are four small compartments with handles that are all properly folded flush. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Tigh, the second compartment's handle is not stowed. (00:24:55)

War of the Gods (1) - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When three Vipers land on a planet, the pilots emerge and discuss how odd everything looks in the strange lighting of this world. The colors of these shots have been altered so that grass and other green plants look red, and the red stripes of the Vipers look a yellowish green. Naturally, this has made the pilots look a bit odd, too. But when the scene changes to an area devoid of living plants, the colors return to normal Earth-like hues- as if this world's sun has suddenly changed its attributes. (00:09:55)

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: In "Saga of a Star World", it's established that the Cylons are entirely robotic. Their creators, a reptilian race also known as Cylons, were made extinct by their robots millennia ago. Yet, when Omega reports that life signs have been detected, Apollo asks "Cylons?". Apollo is the character that previously explained their history, so he knows Cylons aren't life forms. (00:06:55)

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When Apollo asks Adama if he was ever like Boxey, Adama replies "Worse". The two characters are standing well apart, each leaning forward with both hands on a railing, shown from the front. When the shot changes to show them from behind, Adama has his arm around Apollo, hand on his shoulder. (00:03:45)

War of the Gods (1) - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: The show uses made-up terms similar to metric system terminology when remarking about measures of distance and time. Roughly speaking, microns tend to refer to seconds, while centons refer to hours. But here, when Count Iblis enters the communications area and the video screens malfunction, Athena comments that everything was fine "a few centons ago", suggesting hours, when it was only seconds ago that the trouble started. Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: At the end of the big battle, at least four Cylon Raiders are seen fleeing the battle area. Then, using phony radio chatter, Starbuck and Apollo fake that their two ships are actually four full squadrons, ready to attack the base star. Starbuck tries to fake that two more squadrons can join them, but Apollo states that they aren't needed. But the Cylon reporting to his leader states that SIX squadrons are approaching (not just the four) and that all their Raiders were destroyed in the battle. A Cylon does not exaggerate, nor can he be mistaken or lie- yet he IS wrong in this scene. (02:09:40 - 02:12:15)

The Lost Warrior - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: In a wide shot, Apollo is inspecting an air rifle. As the wide shot ends, he holds the rifle wrapped by both hands. When the close-up shot starts, the gun is on its side, held by his right hand while his left is removing the air cartridge. (00:11:40)

The Lost Warrior - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: When Bootes throws a tantrum at the bar, he knocks two hats off the bar and his mug falls over directly in front of him. When the shot changes to an angle from behind him, his mug is standing and one of the hats is back on the bar. (00:36:30)

The Lost Planet of the Gods (2) - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: During the wedding ceremony, Adama states he is about to recite the most powerful words in the universe. He then says "Under the eyes of God, bound by the symbol of the faiths of the Lord of Kobol.". But in doing so, the actor forgot that in the show's "universe", humans believe in multiple gods, referring to them as the "Lords of Kobol" and "The Gods". (00:17:05)

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Baltar is brought before the Imperious Leader, the wider overhead shots show his arms are straight down along his sides, but closer shots show his hands fiddling together in front of him or somewhere between that and almost back at his sides. (01:17:45)

Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: In the second shot showing the fleet of Battlestars (from the port side and slightly behind), the closest ship has a blank nameplate on the front of the landing bay where all the ships normally have their names displayed. In the next shot, a close-up shows this plate now says, "Atlantia". (00:02:45)

Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Baltar turns to face the two setting suns, we see the lower one at the left has what could be a boat in its reflection on the water. The higher one on the right is over a mountainous area on the horizon. The next shot is of Baltar in close-up, then the next returns to the horizon to show us Baltar's view, which shows just ONE setting sun. The one on the left has vanished though there is room enough for it to have been seen in this shot. (00:40:15)

The Lost Planet of the Gods (1) - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: While on patrol, Apollo enters a void in space, where no stars or other navigational fixes are visible. But in at least one shot, his ship is shown from the left side with stars in the background. It's the shot immediately after Adama says, "That's odd." (00:12:00)

Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Apollo asks Zac, "How many of them can you make out?", Zac looks at his targeting screen and replies, "Four." However, the screen displays five. The ensuing battle proves Zach is correct with four, meaning the film makers inserted an incorrect targeting screen graphic. (00:10:30)

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the Vipers come to Galactica's rescue, an interior shot shows a pilot hitting the 'Turbo' button. The next exterior shot shows two Vipers pulling upward as we hear the familiar sound of the Turbos- but no white exhaust is emitted by these two Vipers as normally seen when Turbo is used. Seconds later in the same shot, the sound is heard again as two more Vipers turn right, but they do display the white exhaust effect. (02:07:40)

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the Galactica goes to battle stations, Starbuck's card game is broken up. He rises out of his chair in a close-up to try to keep the other players from taking back their money and leaving. In the next wide shot, he's still seated and rises again. (00:15:25)
