Wayne's World (1992)

Trivia: When Wayne and Garth are in Stan Mikita's donut shop for the first time, playing in the background is "Everything About You" by Ugly Kid Joe. This song features spoken dialogue from the androgynous character Pat played by Julia Sweeney, who like Wayne and Garth, originated on Saturday Night Live.

Wayne's World (1992)

Trivia: After Wayne makes the "cream of some young guy" joke in Benjamin's apartment, there is an awkward pause between everyone. This pause was strategically placed there after test audiences laughed at the joke so hard that no-one in the theater heard the next few lines of dialogue.

Wayne's World (1992)

Audio problem: When Wayne plays the "May I help you?" riff on the black guitar to get the clerk's attention, he ends the riff by manipulating the whammy bar. However, rather than the "scooping" sound that comes from manipulating a whammy bar, the sound heard is actually trilling (rapidly alternating between two or more notes on the same string).

Wayne's World (1992)

Trivia: According to the March 2003 issue of Guitar One, "No Stairway to Heaven" signs like the one seen in this movie actually existed in music stores in the real world.

Wayne's World (1992)

Deliberate mistake: When Wayne begins playing the "Excalibur" guitar, the clerk stops him and directs him to a "No Stairway to Heaven" sign. The problem is that the guitar riff Wayne started playing sounded nothing like "Stairway to Heaven" so the clerk had no reason to interrupt him. Evidently the intro to "Stairway" was actually played in the theatrical version of the film, but its exclusion in the home video release makes the scene rather dubious.
