Plot hole: While I don't doubt Cortez put a lot of time in planning his escape from the FBI there's no way he could have predicted there would have been a police roadblock mere minutes from where he was.

Other mistake: During the big shootout scene near the end Burrell is using a six-shooter and somehow seems to fire around 20 shots despite never reloading the gun.
