Revealing mistake: Footage of the Diablero standing up after killing the first rich woman is re-used in the killing of the next rich woman, evident by the shot of the same curtains in the background for both murder scenes.

Revealing mistake: In one scene, stock footage of a Boeing 747 flying is used to show Kolchak flying to his destination, and there is no commercial airline livery on the aircraft, just "Boeing 747." This footage was of one of the first 747's built.

Revealing mistake: A chalk outline on the parking garage wall where the actor playing the alien that just got shot and disintegrates is supposed to place his body and limbs for the special effects (the disintegration) is visible. The actor placed his body just outside the chalk outline, and the arms were not in the correct positions.
