Question: How did they not know Erica was having twins? They had the picture of the ultrasound when Monica and Chandler had the first meeting with her. Surely it would have shown two babies in the scan?

Answer: Not only is it a real game show, Danny Osmond was the host of the show at the time. And that was the real actor Leslie Charleson from "General Hospital."

Answer: Since Denise is never seen or heard by any of the other characters; since Phoebe abruptly stops mentioning her immediately after this episode; and since Phoebe is, to put it gently, a little weird, I think we can safely assume that yes, Denise was made up.

Question: After Monica and Chandler moved to their new house, why in the world did Joey not move across the hall and take over that great apartment?
Answer: Joey wanted to move to LA and be a big actor for the longest time so getting the apartment was not a step in that direction.
Answer: Finances could be a major part. It's established that Monica gets the apartment dirt cheap from her aunt. And Joey struggles to afford the small apartment on his own as shown in other episodes.
Given that he gave out a cheque for $2000 to Monica, I think Days of Our Lives has given him a stable financial life, just as it did in S2 when he was able to pay Chandler back when he was making decent money.

Answer: Depending on how old the scan picture is, it's possible for a "hidden twin" to exist. If the scan is from early in the pregnancy then its more likely. (I will add it's been about 10 years since I watched the last season of Friends so I could be wrong).
