Other mistake: After the first meeting with the JAG team and Secretary Blair to negotiate The Return of the F-14, Captain Fuente refers to Meg as "lieutenant commander". Harm is the LCDR; Meg is a lieutenant, junior grade. It's not just a character mistake: Meg's shoulder insignias indicate her rank. (00:24:30)

Continuity mistake: Throughout the episode, Harm is referred to as "Lieutenant Commander", and wears the respective insignia. But he's still a lieutenant at this point; he isn't promoted for another three episodes. This occurred due to several season 1 episodes being aired in the wrong order, with the DVDs going by the same broadcast order.

Continuity mistake: The opening scene, which is a replay of the ending scene from the previous episode, is slightly different. When Gen. Cresswell tells Mac she'll be stationed in San Diego, Harm comments "It's only a five hour plane ride" instead of "it's only five hours away", and when Rabb is promoted to Captain, Cresswell briefly pauses at "it's" when he says "By the way, it's a captain's billet", while there was previously no pause.

Trivia: David James Elliott, Catherine Bell, and Patrick Labyorteaux were the only actors to appear in all ten seasons. Except for a few special episodes, Elliott and Labyorteaux were the only ones to play the same character, while Elliott was the only actor to appear in every episode.
