Revealing mistake: When the defective shell is about to fall, the ground shows no sand mounds. A couple of shots later, when the soldiers gather around it, a circular platform used to move the shell is visible, and a sand mound has inexplicably appeared nearby-apparently to conceal, albeit unsuccessfully, the mechanism that makes the shell rotate.
