Continuity mistake: Two mistakes here: when the storm troopers raid the building, the barber's hat falls about a metre away from the table. He is then shoved onto the table, and when the soldiers are about to leave, his bowler hat is back on his head: he is holding it with his right hand while holding a flower pot in his left. A shot later, the bowler hat and the flower pot have switched hands.

Continuity mistake: When Hannah and the barber are in the street and hear Hynkel's speech, her hands shift from being tucked under his arm—gripping the point where the elbow meets the arm—to resting on top of his wrist.

Continuity mistake: Chaplin stands up to deliver the final speech, takes off his cap and we see his hair is short and flat. When the angle changes to a close-up the hair is longer and fluffy.

Continuity mistake: Chaplin spits 3 coins from the pudding. One falls and moves to the middle of the table. Another gets beneath a dish. And a third one falls off the table. A couple seconds later all three appear lined up on the table, close to Chaplin, ready for him to pick them up.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the pudding scene, when Hannah shows up, the sugar bowl left of Chaplin moves from close to a glass to the far right of the table.

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Jaeckel says he's found the coin in the pudding his white handkerchief disappears.

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Napoloni gets trapped by the guards, notice the people around her from left to right: ambassador, thin man with loose hair, elegant man, man with beret. Closeup shot and the thin man has disappeared and a man with a white rounded hat appears out of nowhere, close to the elegant man.

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Napoloni gets trapped by the guards, the suit of the handsome man behind her, with a hat and a coat hanging on his left arm, swaps from light coloured to black.

Continuity mistake: When Hynkel is removing Garbitsch's medals, a medal with a cross, close to the left armpit, disappears without Hynkel having touched it.

Continuity mistake: When Chaplin is about to deliver his final speech, he walks towards a stone wall with the word "Liberty" engraved on it. The word ends where the staircase begins, and close to it is a staircase with a bare stone wall behind. But when Chaplin ascends the steps the engraving has moved to the very center of the staircase.

Audio problem: When Hynkel refers to the peace treaty and says "I'll sign it," you can hear the sound quality change abruptly, and when Hynkel is saying "Napoloni the grosse peanut, the cheesy ravioli," his lips are not in sync.

Continuity mistake: The barber and Hannah's walk gets interrupted by Hynkel's speech. The barber runs to hide and his hat falls on the street face up. Angle changes to Hannah and when back to the barber the hat is now facing down.
