Factual error: At the beginning of the movie we're told that the Statue of Liberty is in Metropolis. However, the subway billboard states that it's in New York.

Continuity mistake: At the hotel room, Clark and Lois are watching the city skyline. From their POV the city is New York/Metropolis, but behind them is a glass door which reflects the real city, which is completely different.

Continuity mistake: When Superman flies to save the cosmonaut, the spaceship behind turns pink.

Plot hole: According to this movie, 50 cops won't notice it if you abandon your car right in front of the UN during a world summit packed with top politicians.

Continuity mistake: Before rampaging Metropolis, Nuclear Man elevates himself in Luthor's apartment and smoke comes out of his arms. For the rest of the movie this feature doesn't happen.

Continuity mistake: In the barn, the vest is folded in such a way that the sleeve-hole is hidden. However, in the close-up of Carl hiding the glass the hole is perfectly visible. Then it swaps to the previous angle.

Continuity mistake: Before Lacy enters the elevator at the hotel lobby an old man walks behind Clark, but suddenly disappears when the angle changes.

Continuity mistake: In the hotel room, the swimming pool's waters are flat, then when Superman arrives at the terrace behind they are very rippled, then a frame later it cuts to Lois greeting Super and they are totally flat again.

Continuity mistake: When the movie starts, the cosmonaut is standing up straight on the spaceship. A frame later he is laying horizontally plus he is suddenly attached to some sort of tube.

Continuity mistake: When Superman flies towards a mountain, the lava on the volcano behind him disappears.

Continuity mistake: Seen from inside the train-driver's seat, the tunnel is darker and with lights on both sides, but a shot of the tunnel alone shows it brighter and with no lights on the left side. Then it cuts back to the previous angle and everything changes back.

Continuity mistake: Superman walks to a building in front surrounded by grass and with no people or traffic nearby. However, immediately after, a close-up shows him approaching a totally different place, crowded with people and a traffic jammed street.

Continuity mistake: When Superman flies together with Lois his hair moves a lot because of the wind; but when he flies alone it stays perfect.

Continuity mistake: Superman walks towards the UN and there are benches in front of him. In the next wide angle they've disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When the train driver passes out, several (speeded-up) shots of the tunnel and the shots of the bystanders on the platform show that the train is moving really fast, but in between there's a shot of Lois at normal speed, and the lights of the tunnel seen through the windows show that the train speed is quite low.

Continuity mistake: When Nuclear Man destroys Metropolis, he stands by the Metropolis Tower entrance, but disappears and reappears randomly depending on the angle.

Continuity mistake: On the moon, nuclear Man grabs a rock with a huge hole underneath and holds it over his head. The angle changes and the rock has changed to a different one with a solid bottom.

Continuity mistake: Nuclear Man lands in Metropolis and the cab driver on the left swaps several times from having his arm inside the car in the wide angles, to outside the cab's window in the close-ups.
