Question: A few times in the movie, you can see Illinois license plates. Is Gotham supposed to be in Illinois?

Answer: It's not exactly known where Gotham is suppose to take place but the movie was filmed in Chicago, Illinois.

Toolio

Answer: Actually in the DC universe, Gotham is meant to represent an over-the-top version of Chicago. Metropolis is the New York stand in.

Answer: Gotham is understood to be NYC on steroids and/or acid.

dizzyd

Answer: It is a mistake, Gotham City is canonically in New Jersey. It's a short distance from Metropolis.

Greg Dwyer

Answer: Yes, this was the case unfortunately. Many soldiers lost there lives before exiting the boats. Several Normandy survivors say that the scene was the best interpretation of what actually happened on that day.

General questions

What is the film with the most sequels/prequels spawned from it?

Hamster

Chosen answer: My best guess would have to be either the James Bond 007 series (22 films currently with a 23rd on the way) or the Friday the 13th series (11 parts including Freddy vs Jason). In terms of "pure" sequels, Star Trek currently stands at 10 films.

Question: How did Toulour know the security code to the warehouse where Ocean stored the stolen paintings?

Answer: It was mentioned that he had them under surveillance the entire time. Safe to assume he was always aware of where his paintings were. But taking them back early on would have ruined the con he was trying to pull off on Ocean's crew.

Answer: I always assumed it was because Ocean had broken into Toulour's own vault to give them back. Yet another time Ocean outfoxed him.

Answer: Toulour is a master thief so he manipulated his way into gaining access to the warehouse.

Toolio

Answer: I think that the vault belonged to Le Marc, now the Night Fox knows the entire thing was a setup by Le Marc capitalizing on the Fox's arrogance. Le Marc exploits everyone to regain the egg and his daughter, not to mention get Rusty out of trouble for his daughter's sake and teach his protégé a lesson in humility.

I always felt they were just there to cause confusion. If they started to remember the image of the Arab woman/ women would sound and look crazy trying to explain. However later in the movie when they shoulder flash backs the women were not there and Shaw choked out that other guy but, early the Arab women where there, and he had plastic on his face choking him out.
