General questions

What's the horror film about a boy and girl travelling in a car and he ties her shoelaces together while the parents are driving to the new house? The car has an accident and the girl can't get out. At the new house the boy gets haunted by his sister - I remember a scene of a pizza cutter being run up the walls.

Chosen answer: I believe you are referring to the 1982 TV movie "Don't Go To Sleep", with Dennis Weaver and Valerie Harper.

Question: Can somebody please tell me all of the celebrity cameos throughout the film and where?

Answer: David Hasselhoff plays the coach of the German dodgeball team. William Shatner plays the host of the game. Chuck Norris plays the third judge. Lance Armstrong plays himself, and he was actually afflicted by cancer in the way he describes. I believe he says in the film he won the Tour de France 5 times since - that's now increased to six. A real dodgeball player, Tobias 'Sniper' McKinney played for the German Blitzkreig team.

Question: OK I'm gonna be dumb and ask, what on earth is Franck's nationality and accent?

Answer: Martin short once claimed in an interview that Franck is just a combination of several different nationalities that he combined for the character. Like Bronson Pinchot in Beverly Hills Cop, part of the humour is not knowing where he came from.

X-Men 2 (2003)

Question: When Nightcrawler falls from the roof of the church and Jean "catches" him telepathically, why can't he teleport away from her? Can Jean's telepathic powers inhibit his natural mutant abilities?

Answer: Two reasons for this. Firstly, you are quite correct. Jean Grey can inhibit his natural mutant abilities, as we see at the end of the film when Nightcrawler is trying to save her from the water, but she keeps stopping him. Secondly, Nightcrawler probably didn't want to escape. He was set up to attack the president and most likely wanted to turn himself in.

Question: Did James Cameron ever express how he felt about judgement day occurring at the end of this movie, considering he chose to have nothing to do with this production.

Answer: James Cameron has stated in interviews that this film has nothing to do with him. So basically as far as he is concerned, judgement day never happened and life went on as usual. If the makers of T3 felt judgement day should happen, then that is their decision, as it is their film now. James has told his story, others can tell theirs.
