Revealing mistake: Many times through the movie it is noticeable that the distant background hills and beaches are backdrop paintings. A good example of this is when Mitch and Melanie are talking on the hill at Cathy's birthday party. (00:49:00)

Other mistake: When Mitch is in the car, after listening to the radio he switches it off and the subtitles read 'Clicks of radio', yet it should be 'Clicks off radio.' (01:49:50)

Continuity mistake: When Lydia comes outside with Cathy's cake, the door behind her is open halfway, but later when the birds attack, you can see the door is now closed completely. (00:49:45 - 00:50:45)

Continuity mistake: In one shot, a boy hides under a table, when the birds attack at Cathy's party. In the wide shot you can see the table is quite far onto the grass, away from the patio. But a few shots later, the table is right beside the patio. (00:50:20)

Visible crew/equipment: When Cathy brings a pot of coffee into the dining room, you can see several bright studio lights reflected in it throughout this scene, and you can also briefly see the reflection of someone's arm moving about on it. (00:51:55)

Revealing mistake: When Melanie is brought downstairs and onto the couch, she starts flapping her arms out going 'No! No!' You can see Cathy turn her head and laugh to herself a little, then pretend to cry. (01:45:50)

Continuity mistake: When Melanie is walking up to the counter in the bird shop she has a black purse in her hands. In one shot she is walking to the counter with her purse in her hands, but in the following shot, her purse is laying on the counter and is now taking off her gloves. (00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: After Melanie has been bandaged up after her attack, she sits up on the sofa, and you can see two large bloody scratches on her cheek. These scratches disappear when Mitch and Lydia walk Melanie outside to the car. (01:51:25)

Continuity mistake: When the birds attack the town, two horses gallop down the street, dropping crates of vegetables. In a later shot the crates are more broken and the vegetables are more spread out and are in a much different position than when they were in the earlier shot of when they were dropped. (01:23:45)

Continuity mistake: Two gulls attack a man by his car and he falls to the floor, knocking a red bucket and metal can to the floor near him. But in the next shot of Mitch running to help him, the red bucket has now moved further away from the man. (01:21:15)

Continuity mistake: When Mitch and Melanie are talking in the café, the bottle of peroxide on the table moves from being near Mitch to near Melanie. (00:27:45 - 00:28:35)

Continuity mistake: When going along the water in her hired boat, Melanie passes a pole bobbing about in the water. In the next wide shot the pole has vanished. (00:19:50)

Continuity mistake: At the children's party, when the birds attack, you can see a child roll under the table with the cake and other party snacks on it. The birthday cake swaps ends with the bowl of drink a few shots later, with nobody re-arranging it. (00:50:20)
