Continuity mistake: When Klaatu writes some notes on the blackboard, in order to help Professor Barnhardt, the handwriting of the words on the board changes between shots, most noticeably the 'T' on 'Try.' (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When Klaatu posing as Mr. Carpenter is sitting with the others at the table, Helen says "Well after all, he was shot.." and Klaatu holds his newspaper up in his hands. In the next shot he holds it down on the table. (00:26:10)

Continuity mistake: When Gort emerges from the spaceship, we see all of the crowds run away in fear and panic. Yet in the very next shot the crowds are visible standing behind the ropes again. (00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When Selena is leaving on the ferry near the end, and Detective John Mackey pulls up and watches her drifting away, as he gets out of the car the windsheild wipers stop moving. In the next behind shot of him standing at the dock edge, watching, they are back on again. (01:43:05)

Factual error: In one scene, we Dolores driving back home, after the scene where Vera tells her that accidents can 'happen' to wives husbands every day. The shot shows a huge full moon in the sky. Everyone who has every learnt any science/astronomy should know that a huge full moon cannot occur the night before a solar eclipse. (01:29:35)

Continuity mistake: Just before Dolores smashes the window, using the axe, the shape of the hole in the window changes considerably between shots. Also, as Dolores smashes the window with the axe, she is about the hit the top of the window, yet in the next shot she smashes from the bottom of the window. It is also apparent, as the glass smashes in slow motion, that Dolores' reflection is painted on. (00:45:20)

Continuity mistake: When Joe is saying "fat ass, lousy cooking.." about Dolores, Dolores finally gathers enough courage to stand up to him, and she smashes the ceramic pitcher of cream into his head. After she does this, the pattern and position of the cream running down the back of the chair and the amount of cream on Joe's head changes between shots. (00:30:50)

Continuity mistake: When it shows the closeup of the cabbage in the pot, boiling over, there is a handle on the pot, sticking up in the air on the front side of the pot. There is also liquid pourng out of the pot, staining the side of the pot. In the next shot, the handle has gone, and the liquid which poured over, down the side of the pot, has gone, and the pot is now clean. (00:28:30)

Audio problem: In the shots of Detective John Mackey standing by the window looking out of the blinds at Selena, while he's on the telephone, as he speaks, nothing that we hear matches up with the movements of the side of his mouth. It is very clearly out of sync, and audio is heard when the mouth is still. (00:07:55)

Visible crew/equipment: Crewmembers, reflectors, cameras and equipment are clearly visible in Selena's sunglasses many times, most noticeably when she is standing on the ferry smoking a cigarette, and also in the following shots when she is driving along in her car. (00:06:10)

Continuity mistake: When we see Dolores enter the kitchen, to find a untensil to kill Vera with, keep an eye on the items on the counter to the right of the door she walks through. Later, when Dolores grabs the rolling pin, the position of the items and some of the actual items themselves have changed. (00:01:55)

Continuity mistake: In the opening shot of the film we see Vera roll down the stairs and hit the stair banisters, damaging some of the banister's supporting poles. Between shots, the damage done to the pole differs, and the positions of the broken poles changes as well. (00:01:35)

Audio problem: When Turner is playing with Hooch in his living room, Hooch is chasing Turner and barking at him. However, the audio of the barking is way out of sync with any movements of Hooch's mouth.

Continuity mistake: When Hooch is pulling against the leash and yanking the desk towards the stairs, the leash is connected to the non-choke chain on his collar. In all previous shots it was in the choke chain of his collar.

Continuity mistake: When Turner is taking Hooch to see the vet and he is running alongside the car, on the long pole with his leash dangling behind him. In some shots the leash is secured to his collar and in others it is just loose.

Continuity mistake: Turner goes to see the old man and brings Hooch a muffin as a gift. Hooch knocks Turner down and the muffin goes flying and lands upright. When Hooch goes to get the muffin, it is laying on its side.

Continuity mistake: When Turner is on stakeout with Hooch, Turner is wearing glasses when he tastes the dog biscuit. When he feeds the biscuit to Hooch you can see his glasses on the dash. He then puts them on again in the next shot.

Continuity mistake: When Billy puts the santa hat on Gizmo, in the first shot the hat is folded backwards so that the bobbled end is hanging behind the hat. In the next shot it hangs over the front of the hat. (00:19:45)
