Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, George falls off the roof and lands on the mud, getting his face and shirt extremely filthy. However a bit later, when the family escapes on the speedboat, he awakes and his face and shirt are now exceptionally clean. Continuity mistake: In her Grandma's attic, Sam opens a trunk. In the wideshot there is a little box opened, with nothing on the lid. It cuts to a wideshot and there are photos laying on the lid. Then moments later, Sam goes to pick up a large red scrap book. It cuts to a closeup, and she's now holding some newspaper sheets. (01:13:55)

Continuity mistake: After the Jell-O fight, Roberta chases Scott and the other Wormers. Watch their shadows. Between shots they go from being projected to their right, then when it cuts, the shadows project to their left. (00:16:05)

Continuity mistake: When the Wormers attack the girls with Jell-O-bombs, one bomb hits Chrissy near the waist, leaving green Jell-O all over her top and shorts. In the next quick shot, you can see the stain has vanished. (00:15:55)

Continuity mistake: When the girls are riding their bikes to the library, Chrissy's hair is up in pig-tails with pink bows. In the next scene when the go under the train bridge, her hair is down without any bows. Then when they come under the bridge, Chrissy's hair is pulled back into the two pig-tails with bows.
