Varsity Blues (1999)

Corrected entry: When Tweeder blocks the punt they immediately start celebrating. The problem is a blocked punt is still live until recovered by one team or the other. They just skipped that part. (01:35:25)

Joel Gordon

Correction: They did skip that part, just like they skipped a lot of the football game. Even if the offense recovered the ball, unless they got to the first down marker it would still be a turn over. The film makers just chose to skip it and let the audience know there was a change of possession.

Sniper (1993)

Correction: The director gives us one shot of them putting on face paint, but over time it will wear off with sweat, and need to be applied again. It could just be the face paint wearing off, and being re-applied a few times. There would be no need for us to watch them put on face paint more than once.

Sniper (1993)

Corrected entry: Berenger slugs the guy in the right side with his own rifle, but the guy falls back holding his left arm. (01:13:45)

Joel Gordon

Correction: After he is hit in the side, the Panamanian stumbles and almost falls with both his arms outstretched. We then get a close-up of his face, where his right hand can briefly be seen hovering above his left arm, NOT clutching it. This is a natural place for his hand to be, if he was pressing his right upper arm into his injured ribs, and attempting to shield his upper body with the same arm at the same time.

Sniper (1993)

Corrected entry: When Berenger goes to kill the guy that has seen Zane the guy whacks him with a board than says something in Spanish which his mouth doesn't utter. (01:12:10)

Joel Gordon

Correction: Yes, it does. His mouth moves just fine, even though he is muttering, which does not require much lip movement. He is still clearly speaking the words.

Varsity Blues (1999)

Corrected entry: The sex-ed teacher writes "sexual reproduction" on the board then turns around to face the class. In the next shot "sexual reproduction" is missing. (00:24:20)

Joel Gordon

Correction: She is standing in front of a different part of the board - there are two different posters and she writes in between them, then stands off to the left. You can see "sexual reproduction" still on the board when Billy Bob comes back and walks past the board.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: I highly doubt they'd be able to shut the jail door with the twins growth in it. I don't know a lot about livers, but I think they're thicker than paper. (01:20:05)

Joel Gordon

Correction: There is enough space between the bars in the door to accommodate the join between the two bodies. There is a space between the last bar of the door and the wall of the cell.

Corrected entry: How does the porn director, Kelly, know that they are even filming a video so he can steal it? Assume he did and assume he knew that he knew Eli had it (which is another stretch I think) - the video tape he held up when confronting Matthew didn't have a label on it, so how'd he know which one to steal from Eli's house?

Joel Gordon

Correction: He could have easily learnt about the video, he could have talked to one of the guy from the school, as he seemed to get along with them quite well or the two porn stars could have told him somehow. As for the video, he broke into Eli's house and probably had enough time to look through several videos. Not too hard to find a recently made video, especially when Eli was probably still editing it.

The Recruit (2003)

Corrected entry: When Burke tells them about the NOC, Zack is sitting in the front row (he has a red sweater on) on Burke's right. In later shots he is shown sitting on Burke's left. (00:26:55)

Joel Gordon

Correction: Actually if you look carefully, he is sitting almost directly in front of Burke. When they show Burke from his left, it appears that Zack is on Burke's right. Then when the angle switches, he looks like he has moved. He hasn't.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: When the boys first lay out the buns on the "tester" at the beginning of the film they put down 4 columns of 3 buns each. When the scene shifts back to them the have 3 columns of 4 buns each. (00:03:25)

Joel Gordon

Correction: After we see them lay down 4 columns of 3 buns each there is about 45 seconds or so before we see the buns again. More than enough time to change the order of them.

The Recruit (2003)

Corrected entry: When Layla is checking her computer after Clayton uses it you can hear her punch the buttons four or five times, yet a whole string of commands is being typed. (01:13:55)

Joel Gordon

Correction: The lines coming on the screen are from her bringing up an event log to see exactly what James did on the computer. She only needed to hit a few keys to begin the 'playback'.

17th May 2004

The Recruit (2003)

Corrected entry: After Clayton gives Burke's name the door to the class opens. Clayton uses the other door to stand, but you can see the door moves when he uses it to prop himself up as if it was never locked (either that or the interrogators are really stupid for leaving the door unlocked). (00:46:55)

Joel Gordon

Correction: Or the small cell door unlocks automatically when the big door opens, since there is no point in keeping it locked then.

The Recruit (2003)

Corrected entry: Why would the CIA be interested enough in Clayton to have Layla mark him in the first place? According to Burke CTs that wash out of the farm are hired to other positions in the CIA anyway. If it's surprising to find Clayton there, they should have enough common sense to find out who hired him (Burke) so they shouldn't be surprised later to find out that Burke was the traitor.

Joel Gordon

Correction: She doesn't mark him to begin with. Her mission is to attempt to smuggle out ICE-9 from Langley, to check for security breaches. It is not until Clayton starts asking questions and snooping around in her computers that she reports him as a threat. And the only reason she is surprised to see Clayton at Langley is because she herself is new, and does not know of the routine hiring of washed out recruits.

Varsity Blues (1999)

Correction: It is the commentator, not Billy Bob that is saying this.

17th May 2004

The Recruit (2003)

Corrected entry: Zack kind of stands out like a sore thumb wearing that hood in the middle of Union Station, just so we don't know his identity until later.

Joel Gordon

Correction: Character decision, I'm afraid. Zack is an inexperienced NOC agent, and makes mistakes like this.

Van Helsing (2004)

Corrected entry: When Van Helsing is on the coach and is attacked by the brides a shot from behind the coach shows him riding through a pass cut through the mountain. It immediately cuts to a shot from the side and only trees are behind the coach. (01:11:45)

Joel Gordon

Correction: This was done to show them riding through the Carpathians before getting to Budapest. The scene with the mountains shows them in the Carpathians and the scene in the forest shows them getting in to Budapest.

Mortug

Corrected entry: When filming the sex education video at the end of the movie, one of the actresses is nude, but she doesn't need to be. The only reason they might do this is so the audience thinks it's going to be a porn video.

Joel Gordon

Correction: We haven't seen the whole sex ed video so we don't know for sure that she doesn't need to be nude. There could be a scene, for example, where two people appear to be having sex, but the genitals are not shown, and bare back and buttocks of the woman are seen. In that case, she would need to be nude. Remember, this is a sex ed video for the 21st century.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: When May first comes to the hotel and wakes the guy at the desk he starts typing. The scene cuts and you can see that there is nothing on the page that he just typed on. (00:37:00)

Joel Gordon

Correction: Maybe the ribbon was dead, he was just faking it anyway.

Gothika (2003)

Corrected entry: After the shower scene the nurse asks Graham how she could do this and he says they always find a way, but at the beginning of the film Miranda is allowed to bring a pen into the maximum security section of the penitentiary? Somehow I think not.

Joel Gordon

Correction: Miranda was allowed to bring a pen into the maximum security section because she was a psychiatrist then. They would've taken all her belongings from her after she killed her husband.

Correction: Ricky doesn't actually open the door he just exits through the one Jake opened.

Big Fish (2003)

Corrected entry: When Edward is parachuting into the Korean entertainment and the conjoined twins are singing there is a shot of the stage from the catwalk he is on and you can plainly tell there is only one girl on stage. (01:09:35)

Joel Gordon

Correction: The girl is supose to look like only one person in the beging. Its not supose to be givin away that their twins till later in the song. one was behind the other so from any angle you couldnt see her so it wouldnt be a give away.
