Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jake takes his first snap, you can see on his left sleeve a Wilson "W". However, the shot changes once the ball is snapped and the Wilson logo is no longer there (it looks like they might have painted blue over it). Nice product placement? (00:57:35)

Continuity mistake: When Mt. T is telling Jake he likes to whip boys in the shower Jake puts his hand up and says "Whoa". It cuts and Jake no longer has his hand up. (00:56:20)

Continuity mistake: During the football game against the North Compton Wildcats, Reggie Ray gets all woozy. If you look at the scoreboard in this shot it says there is 1:15 left in the 4th quarter. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the football game against the North Compton Wildcats, the team runs out on the field. It cuts to a scene of Jake waving at Janey and in the background the team is going through some drills. It then cuts to another shot of the team running onto the field. (00:51:25)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jake asks Janey to the prom, Ricky puts his fist to his mouth after she says she will go with Jake. It cuts to a shot where he has nothing in front of his mouth. (00:51:10)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jake walks into the cafeteria and Austin makes fun of him ("he has a thing for butt ugly girls") there are a stack of wrapped sandwiches on sliced bread in front of the fat guy. A moment later, they are unwrapped sandwiches on hoagie buns. (00:49:20)

Continuity mistake: At the end of Jake singing "Janey's got a gun," he has the microphone angled away from the microphone stand. The shot changes to the guards giving Janey a taser. When it comes back to Jake, the microphone is angled back toward the microphone stand. (00:32:55)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jake sings "Janey's got a gun," the people in the crowd behind her scatter. One girl (in a tan coat) is carrying her painting. In the close-up shot the painting has fallen from one of the clips holding it, but in the wide-angle shot the painting is on securely. There is also a girl in blue jeans and a blue sweater and purple shirt sitting to Janey's right. She runs past Janey off the screen. In the next shot (a wide angle) the girl is seen again running behind Janey. Just watching it I think the same could be said about the other people in the class as well. (00:32:40)

Continuity mistake: When Jake goes to ask his sister for a favor, she takes off her robe and hops on the bed, spinning clockwise. In the next shot she is in mid-air, but there is no twist to it - she hops onto the bed straight. (00:30:30)

Continuity mistake: When Layla is trying to get away from Clayton in the car chase, she goes to pass a blue car behind a white truck. It cuts to a shot from inside her car and the white truck is there, but no blue car. Another car is coming the other direction and she has to yank the wheel. She should have been creamed by the blue car, but wasn't because it disappeared. (01:32:10)

Continuity mistake: While searching Zack's bloody jacket for the note Layla passed Clayton's hand gets bloody. However, after reading the note he puts his hand to his mouth and there is no blood on it. (01:26:00)

Continuity mistake: After getting shot, Zack touches the bloody jacket with his left hand. When he dies there's no blood on the fingers he touched it with. (01:25:45)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Layla passes the note to Zack, he has a gray shirt on which is not tucked into his pants. Later, when Clayton is following him the gray shirt cannot be seen. (01:22:20 - 01:23:10)

Continuity mistake: When Clayton is hiding behind the SUV a shot from behind shows him peeking his head out to look at Layla. It cuts to a shot from the front where most of his torso is out from behind the SUV. Then another cut to behind shows only his head out again. (01:21:05)

Continuity mistake: When Janey is painting she gets paint on her blue shirt. When the guys are picking a candidate and she comes up the stairs there is no paint on her shirt. (00:10:30 - 00:14:10)

Continuity mistake: When Janey is called to the Principal's office she is covered with paint (on her face, neck, etc.). When she shows up she has no paint on her. She could have washed it off, but it still would have left a stain. (00:10:45 - 00:11:30)
