Rocky Balboa (2006)

Trivia: The actor who plays Spider Rico is indeed the same actor who played him in the 1976 original film (Pedro Lovell).

Trivia: Mary Steenburgen had such a good time dancing with Christopher Lloyd for the festival scenes that she overdid it one day and tore some ligaments in her leg. However, (again) because she enjoyed the dancing so much, she chose simply to fight through the pain.

Trivia: At 1:15 am on October 26, 1985, a crowd of people showed up at the mall that was used as the Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall for the movie, which had come out months before. They wanted to see if anything peculiar was going to happen. Nothing did. A group of devotees have shown up at the same location (Puente Hills Mill in Rowland Heights, CA) at the same time every year since.

Trivia: Despite what the ending shows, the movie's producers originally had no intention of creating a sequel. As director Robert Zemeckis reveals in an interview on the DVD releases, the whole finale was intended as a joke. After the immense popularity of the movie, however, Zemeckis and producer Bob Gale realised that they had to create a sequel and connect it to the "joke" ending of the first one. Once a sequel was in the works, "To Be Continued" was then added to the home video release of the first film.

Trivia: When Marty returned to 1985, Red was on a park bench that had the logo for California Raisins. The California Raisin Board paid the producers $50,000 for this product placement. However, since it was so dark and dirty, and since Red was covering up most of the logo, half their money was refunded. (01:41:50)

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: It was not originally in the script to have the players talk to each other about how hot the girls were at the Norway game. Before the scene was filmed, the actors were doing it for real while they were looking at the extras in the arena. The director then thought it would be a good idea to have them do that in the movie, to give their coach all the more reason to be infuriated.

The Cosby Show (1984)

Trivia: When Daniel is persuading Myagi to use his college money to buy a store for selling Bonsai trees, he takes a wad of cash, smells it, and says, "Hmm. Looks like money.smells like money." Ralph Macchio has practically no sense of smell at all, so just for fun he always makes a point to smell something in every movie he does.

The Karate Kid (1984)

Trivia: Ralph Macchio has almost no sense of smell at all. Just for fun, he makes it a point to smell something at least once during every movie he's in. In this movie, he smells a french fry at the restaurant, and he smells his underarm before approaching Alli.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: At the Christmas party we see that one of the players was given a toy helmet with a flashlight on it. The reason for that particular gag gift was that in one of the pre-Olympic games he accidentally bashed into another US player on the ice.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: The first scene that the hockey players shot with Kurt Russell was outside the bus, where four of the players tried to get Coach Brooks (Russell) to send Tim Harrer home. The director thought that since this would be the first time the boys interacted with Russell, there would be some genuine looks of awe and/or intimidation.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: The arena used for the Norway game and the arena used for the Olympics were the same. The Norway game's scenes were shot first, then the arena's interior was given a brilliant paint job, then the rest of the movie was shot.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: The actors were often anxious to play real hockey, so the producers let them play competitively for about ten minutes every day. The cameras recorded these pickup games, and footage of them was used in parts of the movie.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: The movie mentions the Challenge Cup, where the Soviet national team defeated the NHL all-stars 6-0. Believe it or not, it was the Soviet backup goaltender (Vladimir Myshkin) who played in that game. No wonder coach Tikanov had no reservations about replacing starting goaltender Vladislav Tretjak with Myshkin after the first period vs. team USA.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: During the final minutes of the big game, there is one shot in the movie where we see four US players skating backward into their own zone in an almost perfectly straight line. The exact same thing happened in the actual game. Bringing back four defenders forced the attacking USSR player to make a long shot from behind the blue line that Craig had no problem saving.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: Just after time expires, Coach Brooks extends his hand to shake hands with Assistant Coach Patrick. Patrick gives him a big bear-hug instead. Kurt Russel (Brooks) didn't know he was going to do that; the directors wanted a genuine reaction.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: At the Christmas party, backup goaltender Steve Janaszak has a towel around his neck (he always wore one when in uniform & on the bench), even though everyone is in street clothes. This decision was made probably to distinguish him from Ralph Cox, who had a similar handlebar moustache.

Miracle (2004)

Trivia: The reason we see very little footage of the game against Czechoslovakia is that several fistfights broke out during filming (they were hockey players, after all).
