Continuity mistake: When Jack Nicholson is driving his truck through the field in a rush to get to the church to save the little girl, you see the truck bouncing through the bumps. In some scenes, the truck has crash bars in the front, then they disappear, and reappear again.
Continuity mistake: In the very last scene, we see a train passing behind Jack Nicholson's Gas station. Earlier in the movie he is saying how much he appreciates the big fields behind the house where Lori's daughter can play. Where are those fields?
Continuity mistake: The Isuzu truck is always dirty - covered with mud, except the long shot of him driving his boat to the lake. The truck is shiny clean, then he's at the lake for a sunny day fishing, but when he drives away (without the boat) the truck is dirty again.
Stan Krolak: There is no Wizard, Jerry. Jerry Black: You don't know what the fuck you are dealing with! The Wizard is real and I know it.
Duane Larsen: I want to see my daughter. Jerry Black: I don't think that would be a good idea. Duane Larsen: WHY WOULDN'T that be A good idea? Jerry Black: Because we hardly dared to look ourselves.
Jerry Black: I made a promise, Eric. You're old enough to remember when that meant something.
