Factual error: Towards the end of the film when Brian Clough goes to see Peter Taylor at his house in Brighton, there is a 'Pay & Display' ticket machine visible in the car park in the background. The film-makers have done a good job at placing period vehicles in shot but seem to have forgotten the shiny black new (solar powered?) ticket machine.
Factual error: The East Stand at Elland Road is visible in the tunnel shot when Clough confronts the players - the stand was not built until 1992.
Journalist: How would you define your approach to management, apart from being brilliant?
Brian Clough: Good lad.
Brian Clough: I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the country. But I'm in the top one.
Brian Clough: We're from the north, Pete. What do we care about Brighton? Bloody southerners. Look where we are! We're almost in France.
