Highlander: Endgame

Continuity mistake: After mowing down all the Immortals during the Sanctuary scene, one Watcher tells another to take their heads because they might be Immortals. You see the Watcher to the left side of the screen and a robed figure to his left about four feet away drawing his sword. Suddenly, that same robed figure is now to the Watcher right side and about two feet away.

Continuity mistake: During the final duel, Kell traps Duncan's sword against a guardrail and then kicks it into the air. Duncan jumps off and grabs the sword with his left hand. After he hits the ground, the sword is suddenly in his right hand.

Continuity mistake: In the part of the movie where Duncan MacLeod is on his way to Connor's old store, he is shown first riding in a 1998 or newer Ford Crown Victoria taxi. When he is shown getting out, he is exiting a 1992 to 1995 Ford Taurus taxi.

Trivia: Not a mistake but a little bit of humor in the movie...in one of the flashbacks when they save the women in the carriage from being robbed the long blonde haired man is a professional wrestler that goes by the name of "Edge" from WWF. There is a line in the movie that says, "You seem to have lost your edge."

Question: I saw various scenes in the preview of the movie that do not appear in the film itself. Some include Kell being cut in half, and then both halves regenerating into two different Kells. Another was Kell blowing on some floating globe that explodes with the image of his face. This made "Endgame" look like the third film where the villain was the illusionist Kane, but when I saw the movie, these scenes were taken out and the villain had no such powers. What happened to these scenes? What were they about? And are they available anywhere in any earlier cuts of the film? I could not find them in the early cut feature on the DVD...

Chosen answer: The scenes you mention were only meant to be part of the trailer. This was to show that Jacob Kell was the "most powerful" immortal yet. The 'cut in half' scene is playing on the idea that Kell is unbeatable. I suggest rewatching the trailer with these ideas in mind. It may make more sense. These scenes were what Dimension Films wasted a hefty portion of the promotional and marketing budgets on. There was NEVER any script written that included them, nor any version of the film that ever included them.

Question: In Highlander The Sorcerer, Conner had adopted a son. Anyone know what happened to him as in Endgame, Conner gets killed?

Chosen answer: It's hard to say. Since the series totally ignores "Highlander 2" some assume that they also ignored "Highlander 3." But if you don't like that idea, you can probably assume he's off at college with his own life, or maybe even been killed by Jacob Kell.

Question: What happens if Immortals kill on Holy Ground?

Chosen answer: It seems some catastrophic event occurs. This movie follows the continuity of the television show. In one episode Joe Dawson tells Duncan MacLeod the last time it happened was when two immortals fought in a temple at the base of a volcano. He tells him this caused the eruption that consumed Pompeii. But, Dawson also specifies that it's only a legend, and can't be confirmed as actually being THE specific reason for Vesuvius's eruption.
