White Noise

Continuity mistake: When John is driving to work and he hears Anna on the radio, he swerves to avoid a car. From inside the car you can see that there are no cars in the rear window, yet when the shot changes to an outside shot, there are 3 cars. (00:33:35)

Visible crew/equipment: About half way through there is a shot that shows Jonathan sitting in his living room. On the right-hand side of the screen we can see the windows and it's dark outside. Even so, you can see a cameraman holding a camera moving along the window filming Jon from behind.

Continuity mistake: When John first meets Raymond, Raymond sticks his business card in the black slot and it is big enough that it hangs over the slot. When the camera pans away from the card to go back to their conversation, it disappears. At the end of the scene it appears again, because they end on a close-up of the card. (00:15:45)

Susie Tomlinson: It's almost like she didn't die. Two days ago I get a call from my father, and then you show up?
Jonathan Rivers: I don't understand. I've been getting messages from your grandmother for a week now.
Susie Tomlinson: No, that's not possible, she just passed away two days ago.

Mirabelle Keegan: Listen to me. It is one thing to contact the dead, it is another thing to meddle, and you are meddling.

Question: I was really confused by the ending, who were the three figures we kept seeing, and what were they trying to do?

Answer: The figures are spirits who figured out how to contact the living, like Michael Keaton's wife. But where his wife wants him to help others, the three spirits are evil and want to only do bad things.

Question: Did John's wife drown or did someone kill her?

Answer: John's wife was murdered when she was drowned by the construction worker. The construction worker was under the control of shadow demons who made him kill countless people. John's wife Anna included.

Question: I'm not sure if this could be a plot hole or not, but did Jonathan Rivers ever come under suspicion in any of the deaths that he happened to encounter?

Answer: The cop thought he was a suspect, Rivers knows this because when the officer asks him if he is going home whilst at the hospital, he replies with "I'm not leaving town, if that's what you're thinking."
