Visible crew/equipment: A crew member can be seen to the left of the frame when Eric walks into Simon and Ruthie's room after listening to their conversation about not being punished for leaving the house, and getting lost while trailing the mailman. (00:36:15)
7th Heaven (1996)
Starring: Jessica Biel, Catherine Hicks, Stephen Collins, Beverley Mitchell, Happy
Revealing mistake: Throughout the entire series there is one staircase upstairs and two downstairs. And, they more than likely are not the same staircase because the two downstairs are on opposite ends of the house.
Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning of this episode Kevin and the twins are making sandwiches. Lucy comes into the kitchen and kisses Kevin, then David asks where their (his and Sam's) kisses are. As this scene goes on, the shots ranging from views of all four to focal shots, David's sandwich is finished and on the (viewer's) left side of his plate, then unfinished, topped with lettuce instead of bread and on the right side of the plate. It goes back and forth between these two sandwiches. Also, at about 00:05:04 as Kevin and Lucy walk away, Sam's sandwich suddenly loses its top piece of bread. (00:04:40)
Trivia: This episode has the infamous scenes in which Mary wants Matt's help with kissing. Supposedly, the original script involved the siblings actually kissing for practice, but Jessica Biel (playing Mary) and Barry Watson (Matt) refused to do it.
Rev. Morgan Hamilton: We cannot fight hate with hate. What are we teaching our children today? That will make things better tomorrow?
Ruthie: Bad words make me sound bad.
Simon: No, bad words make you sound stupid.
Ruthie: You're the worst babysitter I ever had.
Simon: That's not what you said two hours ago.
Ruthie: Yeah, well that was before you made me wear the staircase.
