Other mistake: In the scene where Antwone is in Cmdr. Davenport's office and he is wearing the black, long sleeve shirt and tie, he has mysteriously been promoted from E-1 to E-4. He had never reached that rank anytime in the movie.

Antwone Fisher (2002)
Directed by: Denzel Washington
Starring: Denzel Washington, Derek Luke, Joy Bryant, Cory Hodges, Malcolm David Kelley
Continuity mistake: After the Thanksgiving dinner when Denzel and his wife are in the bedroom discussing Antwone she takes off her necklace and puts it down. Then they cut to Denzel laying in bed, and when they cut back to his wife she is taking the necklace off again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Antwone is talking to his mother, just a while after he sits at her side (in the couch), he puts his hand on her shoulder very softly. In the next shot, the hand disappears from her shoulder.
Jerome Davenport: "Regard without ill-will despite an offense." That's Webster's definition of forgiveness.
Antwone Fisher: Why do I have to forgive?
Jerome Davenport: So you can get on with your life.
Antwone Fisher: It don't matter what you tried to do, you couldn't destroy me! I'm still standing! I'm still strong! And I always will be.
