Factual error: Morrison did finish film school in real life. He did not drop out as depicted in the film.

The Doors (1991)
Directed by: Oliver Stone
Starring: Val Kilmer, Meg Ryan, Michael Madsen, Kyle MacLachlan, Kevin Dillon, Michael Wincott, Frank Whaley, Billy Idol
Factual error: During the scene where Morrison is sitting on the ledge of a building and drinking, you can see a billboard advertisement for a film below him on the street. Even though this scene is set around 1969, the ad is for the Eddie Murphy-Nick Nolte film, Another 48 Hrs.
Continuity mistake: After the New Haven gig in which the captions tell us is in "1968," Jim Morrison is arrested. On his mug shot photos, the date given is "12-15-67."
Trivia: The tall, naked bald guy shown leaving Jim's bathroom in Paris is seen 12 times throughout the film: Crash site with Native Americans; Homeless guy in front of barrel; Desert on a horse; Dancing during "Light my Fire" in San Francisco; On the screen at Andy Warhol's; Cross dresser at Andy Warhol's; Horse cabby; Dancing with Jim during "Not to touch the earth" in San Francisco 1968; On the plane to Miami sitting in front of Jim; Dancing with Jim during "Break on through" at Miami 1969; As the clown with a child that resembles Jim at the birthday party; His death.
Trivia: When Kilmer is sitting in the Limo with all the screaming girls outside, he is twirling a drumstick similar to twirling the pen in Top Gun and twirling two quarters in Real Genius.
Trivia: Director Oliver Stone can be seen briefly as one of Morrison's college professors.
Jim Morrison: What's wrong with being a large mammal?
Jim Morrison: I love fame, I do love fame.
Jim Morrison: I was stoned. It seemed like a fun thing to do at the time.
Question: Whats the name of the piece of music playing at the end where the camera is going through the graveyard and ends up at Jim's grave?
Question: Did Jim Morrison really go around falsely telling reporters that both his parents were dead? Or was that just an Oliver Stone embellishment?
Chosen answer: That is actually true. Morrison grew up in a military family and his stern parents harshly disciplined their two sons by verbally assaulting them until they broke down in tears, were utterly humiliated and admitted to wrong-doing. Morrison broke off almost all contact with his family after graduating from college.

Answer: According to Wikipedia, the piece is "Adagio in G minor" by Remo Giazotto.
