Plot hole: While a speeding car can indeed blast through highway guardrails or demolish a statue, Snootley's van does the impossible: with its brakes active, it comes to a complete halt and makes a 90-degree turn to the left. Despite active brakes and having no space to accelerate, it magically gains enough momentum to break through the guardrails and demolish a statue so badly that its head flies into the air and remains airborne for 23 seconds.
