Continuity mistake: It wasn't snowing in the front of the house (e.g, when Ethan, Hallie, and Stephanie were going home; when the ambulance arrived; when anyone came in the front door), but it was snowing heavily in the rear of the house during scenes showing the Christmas tree. All I Want for Christmas (1991)
Directed by: Robert Lieberman
Starring: Ethan Embry, Jamey Sheridan, Harley Jane Kozak
Continuity mistake: The ambulance stopped along the curb in front of the house, but the front bumper was about halfway between the tree and the front steps. When the taxi arrived, pulling alongside the ambulance, the ambulance's front bumper was next to the stair's handrail plus a police car was parked where the front bumper of the ambulance should have been. Trivia: In "All I Want for Christmas" (1991), Hallie [Thora Birch] told her dad that Pluto is her "favorite planet." Pluto was reclassified or re-defined as a "dwarf planet" (now one of five) by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2006. Many people were - and still are - unhappy about the "demotion" of what used to be the ninth planet and previously known as the smallest planet. Compared to one Earth year to revolve around the sun, Pluto takes 248 (Earth) years. (00:56:58)
Ethan O'Fallon: Now look, Hallie, you can ask for toys, parakeets, hair care products, I don't care. But you may not ask for anything to do with interpersonal relationships! Got it? This is Santa Claus, not Dear Abby.
Hallie O'Fallon: You gotta go to the real guy... at Macy's.
Sylvia: I thought it might be enchanting to have the bridesmaids in little jodhpurs and carrying riding crops festumed with baby's breath.
Lillian Brooks: That could be enchanting. In a stable.
