Blonde

Continuity mistake: Young Norma Jean is shown a photo of her father placed at the head of her bed. It has him facing right and there is a large white defect in the photo at the upper left corner. When the photo is "talking" to her in a succeeding scene, he is facing left, and the defect is on the upper right corner.

Factual error: Norma Jean's mother is driving away from the house onto the street. She turns left and crosses a yellow dividing lane in the middle of the street. It is supposed to be 1933. But these yellow dividers did not come into existence until the 1950's.

Other mistake: When Marilyn is standing on the subway grate and the skirt is billowing up, there is one of the takes where there is a dark spot near the front of the skirt. All others are spotless.

Norma Jeane: Marilyn doesn't exist. When I come out of my dressing room, I'm Norma Jeane. I'm still her when the camera is rolling. Marilyn Monroe only exists on the screen.
