Continuity mistake: David goes downstairs and finds out about his surprise birthday party. The tape recorder and the other objects on the table change position between shots around the ugliest cake ever. (00:05:25)
Other mistake: David's wife is looking inside the microscope at what she describes as a protein found in the saliva. It does not quite look like a protein, and in fact it's a reused (it's exactly the same) microscope image from the previous movie, where Marisa identified it as" a section of the pituitary glans of a Lhasa Apso." Continuity mistake: David arrived home late for his birthday and his wife is mighty irritated; she serves him on purpose a couple of completely charcoaled steaks. However, the food looks completely different in the close-up (there's much less of it, for starters). (00:15:45)
