A Nightmare on Elm Street

Factual error: When Glen and Nancy are talking on the bridge, you can see a huge palm tree in the background. Springwood is supposed to be in Ohio - they show a map in 'Freddy's Dead, the Final Nightmare' - there are no palm trees in Ohio. (00:52:00)

Suggested correction: Nightmare on Elm Street was originally set in Los Angeles, per Wes Craven's script.

"Originally" being the key word here. But in the completed film, it's in Ohio and thus a goof.

Factual error: The moment Nancy's digital watch hits zero, her bedside clock rings waking her up. You cannot set an old, mechanical style alarm clock to go off with anything like that level of accuracy.

Visible crew/equipment: When Freddy falls over the banister onto the stairs near the end, notice the crash mat he lands on. (01:18:55)

Nancy Thompson: I grab the guy in my dream. You see me struggling so you wake me up. We both come out, you whack the fucker and we got him.
Glen Lantz: Are you crazy? Hit him with what?
Nancy Thompson: You're the jock. You have a baseball bat or something.

Question: Why did Freddy's voice change? At the start of the film when he was chasing Tina, he said, "This is god," but throughout the rest of the film (and the series of the films) his voice went deeper. You have to kind of listen carefully throughout the film to know what I'm talking about.

Answer: The scene you are referring to is a dream sequence. In dreams everything is different and how they change throughout the movie is no mistake.
