Factual error: After checking-in at the Mirage, Clark is sitting by his hotel room window admiring the northward view of the strip. Based on the view he must actually be sitting at the nearby Treasure Island hotel.

0/10. Easily the worst of these with that dreadful Cousin Eddie back. I hated the mess they got into with Clark suddenly saying it was no big deal and disrupting everyone's fun so they could renew their vows. Then they conveniently win four new cars and happily drive home. There, I just gave you the plot summary. Wayne Newton's easily the best actor in this mess.
Marty: You don't know when to quit, do ya Griswold? Here's an idea: Why don't you give me half the money you were gonna bet? Then, we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts, and we'll call it a day.
Trivia: This is the first film in the National Lampoon's Vacation series not to bear the National Lampoon name in the title, as well as being the first without John Hughes' involvement.

Chosen answer: Typically people don't give a knowing wink to someone when they are at death's door. I think what the paramedic says was the case. He just really wanted to feel like he belonged to a family. He met them, and they included him, so he wanted to "give back". This was the way he could.
