Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 mistake picture Video

Continuity mistake: When Hermione removes her parents' memories at the start of the film, she points her wand at them and says "Obliviate", turning her wand hand so that her palm faces inwards/upwards. In the very next shot, however, her palm is facing outwards/downwards, with no time to change in between. (00:02:20)

Continuity mistake: When Harry is talking to Elphias Doge at the wedding, as Elphias says, "Well, Dumbledore was always very private, even as a boy", he is holding his drink in his hand on the table, but in the next shot, he is no longer touching it. (00:32:25)

Continuity mistake: Luna's dad pulls Harry aside at Bill and Fleur's wedding to tell him that he fully supported Dumbledore and now supports Harry. He's wearing a silver pendant in the shape of the Deathly Hallows symbol. In the close-up of the jewelry, it is over his yellow vest. In the consecutive medium shot, it is partly under the same vest. Continuity mistake: As the Death Eaters disrupt Bill and Fleur's wedding, Ron holds Hermione's right hand and Harry holds her left hand as she disapparates with them in tow. However, when they apparate onto Shaftesbury Avenue, Ron and Harry's positions have switched, now Harry holds Hermione's right hand and Ron holds her left hand. (00:36:05)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Harry sees into Voldemort's mind when he is Gregorovitch's wand shop, the wand Voldemort uses is the Elder wand, however Voldemort has not got the Elder wand yet. (01:07:54)

Suggested correction: Voldemort is not carrying the Elder wand, but his own wand. You see glimpses of the Elder Wand in the hands of a young Grindelwald though, perhaps you are confusing the scenes.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 mistake picture Video

Continuity mistake: When Hermione and Harry are sitting on the rocks by the cliff, Hermione is putting down a closed book. When the camera angle switches to seeing Hermione from behind, it appears the wind has blown the book open, but when the camera switches back to a front view, the book is closed again. One final switch, and the book is open yet again, flapping in the wind. (01:23:15)

Continuity mistake: In the forest, when Hermione is sitting with her back against a tree, reading, the book changes position between shots after Harry walks over to her. In a close-up, the top of the book is over her knees, in the following wide-shot, the book is below her knees, and then moves back to its original position in the next shot. (01:33:10)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 mistake picture Video

Continuity mistake: When Xenophilius draws the Deathly Hallows symbol, he draws it so that the bottom of the line touches the bottom of the circle. The shot cuts away and back again when he draws the triangle, but the line is no longer touching the bottom of the circle. (01:49:40)

virtual-toast

Continuity mistake: When Xenophilius Lovegood is drawing the triangle in the Deathly Hallows symbol, he starts with the left side, moving the pen down on the page. The shot changes to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but we can still hear him drawing and the sound indicates that he never lifts his pen from the paper. However, when it cuts back to him finishing the symbol, the right side is already drawn and he is finishing the bottom. With the way he was drawing it, he should have drawn the left side first, then the bottom, and finally the right. However, this would not be possible to do unless he lifted his pen from the paper, which, as stated before, the sound indicates that he did not do. (01:49:50)

Continuity mistake: The paper on which Luna's dad draws the symbol of the Deathly Hallows first has 4 large smudges, the largest being the one on top. Cut to the next shot and the largest smudge is now on the bottom, and their general appearance has changed. (01:54:00)

Continuity mistake: When Hermione is being tortured by Bellatrix in Malfoy Manor, we see a closeup of Hermione crying, and then Bellatrix reaching over to Hermione's right arm to carve "Mudblood" into it. But in the next shot, we see Bellatrix carving it into Hermione's left arm instead. (01:59:40)

Talatat

Revealing mistake: Throughout almost the whole movie Harry's glasses don't have lenses in them. Only in two or so scenes do they appear.

Continuity mistake: In the second to last shot, where Lord Voldemort is drawing the Elder Wand out of Dumbledore's hands, and then thrusts the wand into the air, Lord Voldemort's arm has hair on it. In the book, he is described as completely hairless, and in every other shot in every other movie, they have been careful to remain true to this.

almightytallestvoldy

Continuity mistake: When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are talking to Xenophilius Lovegood at his house about the Deathly Hallows, the newspaper on the shelf behind him is rolled up, but in the next shot it is unrolled.

bcousino

Continuity mistake: When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are sleeping while at 12 Grimmauld Place, in the first shot you see Hermione's blouse is ruffled differently than in the next shot.

bcousino

Factual error: During the scene when Harry and Hagrid are on the motorbike going through a tunnel, the bus signals that it is going to Dartford. Both of the tunnels at Dartford carry north-bound traffic, going away from Dartford - all south-bound traffic, towards Dartford, travels on the bridge (visible in some shots). No traffic enters the tunnels heading south-bound towards Dartford.

Suggested correction: During times of high winds, the Dartford Bridge is closed, and one of the tunnels does, in fact, carry southbound traffic.

Question: After Harry and Ron find the sword of Gryffindor, how do they find Hermoine again? The camp had enchantments and spells around it to keep them safe and Harry had to leave the protection set up around camp.

crystalsbella

Chosen answer: Because Harry already knew where the camp was. The protection spells they use (Harry is shown at one point casting them as well) seem to be sort of like the Secret Keeper spell. If you cast them or they are cast on you, it allows you to see through the spells. Also, don't forget that the deluminator led Ron right to the general vicinity of the camp and that the Snatcher team could smell Hermione's perfume through the spells earlier.
